CALGARY, April 3, 2014 /CNW/ - Winalta Inc. ("Winalta" or the "Company") (TSXV: WTA), today announced the appointment of Alf Sailer to its Board of Directors.

Mr. Sailer is the Executive Vice President, Corporate Development at ATK Oilfield Transportation Inc. ("ATK"), a provider of rig moving and oilfield equipment transportation services.  Prior to joining ATK, Mr. Sailer was the Managing Director, Investment Banking at AltaCorp Capital Inc. from 2010 to 2012. Prior thereto, Mr. Sailer was Vice President Investment Banking at Acumen Capital Partners.  In 1996, he received his MBA (finance) from the University of Calgary. In 2007, Mr. Sailer completed an executive leadership program on corporate governance at Harvard Business School.  Mr. Sailer is a director of CanaDream Corporation, a TSXV listed company.

During his 16 years in the investment banking industry, Mr. Sailer acted in an advisory capacity to numerous private and publicly listed companies and directly managed and co-managed over $5 billion in equity financings.
