Dr. Nick Mungan joins Terrex Advisory Board

CALGARY, May 9 /CNW/ -- 
CALGARY, May 9 /CNW/ - Terrex Energy Inc. (TSXV: TER) is pleased to
 announce that Dr. Necmettin (Nick) Mungan, P. Eng., has joined our team as Chair of the Advisory Board and
 consultant in enhanced oil recovery (EOR).  The Advisory Board has been
 established to augment Terrex's internal technical team and to draw on
 the expertise of industry leaders in the enhanced oil recovery field. 
 He will provide Terrex Energy with exclusive services.


Dr. Mungan is a world recognized expert in reservoir engineering and
 enhanced oil and gas recovery projects.


He received his Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering with Honours from the
 University of Texas in Austin, Texas. Over the years, he has worked
 with three major oil and gas companies and has consulted in some sixty
 oil and gas producing countries; including Brazil, Colombia, India,
 Indonesia, Libya, Malaysia, Mexico, China, the U.S.A., the Soviet
 Union, and Venezuela.  He has spearheaded numerous EOR field
 applications in U.S.A. and Canada, particularly involving the use of
 specialized chemicals.


Dr. Mungan has published more than seventy technical papers, and
 contributed chapters to several books. He has served on the
 publications and editorial committees of the Journal of Canadian
 Petroleum Technology, and as Executive Editor of the Reservoir
 Engineering Journal of the Society of Petroleum Engineers
 International.  He has taught EOR courses at a number of universities
 and oil companies. His focus has always been field applications of
 enhanced oil and gas recovery processes, using the latest research
 findings.


Dr. Mungan is an Honorary Texas Citizen, Honorary Lifetime Member of the
 Society of Petroleum Engineers International, Honorary Professor of the
 University of Calgary, and Visiting Professor at the National Autonomo
 University of Mexico.  He is the recipient of numerous scientific and
 professional societies' awards.
