TransAmerican Announces Change to Board of Directors

TransAmerican Energy Inc. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:TAE)(FRANKFURT:YQJ)
regrets to announce that the Board was recently informed that Mark Billings is
resigning as director of the Company, effective immediately. Mr. Billings, who
was recently appointed Senior Vice President of Argex Titanium Inc., is stepping
down due new responsibilities and the lack of time he is able to devote to other
endeavors. The directors and officers are now comprised as follows: 




Ron Hughes:         President, Chief Executive Officer and Director
Richard Barnett:    Secretary and Chief Financial Officer          
Mike Stark:         Director                                       
Jurgen Wolf:        Director                                       
Tom Needham:        Director
