SilverWillow Energy announces appointment of Michael Stevens as new CFO

 CALGARY, July 3, 2012 /CNW/ - SilverWillow Energy Corporation   is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Michael Stevens as Vice  President and Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately.  Mr.  Stevens replaces Ms. Susan J. Pain who has fulfilled her three-month  term employment contract as transitional CFO during SilverWillow's  first quarter of operations. 

 Mr. Stevens has been an integral member of SilverWillow's senior team in  his previous position as Vice President, Finance.  He brings a depth  and breadth of finance and leadership proficiency as well as crucial  financial expertise and understanding of SilverWillow's focus on  exploring and developing its in-situ oil sands assets.  Since November  2004, Mr. Stevens has succeeded in roles of increasing responsibility  with both of SilverWillow's predecessor companies; as Senior Manager of  Finance and Investor Relations at SilverBirch Energy Corporation and as  Manager, Financial Analysis with UTS Energy Corporation.  He is a CFA  charterholder and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree with distinction  from the University of Calgary.
