Stikine Announces $300,000 Private Placement

Stikine Gold Corporation (TSX VENTURE:SKY) ("Stikine") announces that it will
complete a private placement for gross proceeds of up to $300,000, through the
issuance of 3 million units at a price of $0.10 per unit. The units will each
consist of one common share and one half of one share purchase warrant, each
full warrant entitling the holder to acquire an additional common share for
twelve months following closing at price of $0.20.


Proceeds from the private placement will be used for continuing exploration at
Stikine's Huskie Uranium Property, located on the southern boundary of the
Athabasca Basin in northern Saskatchewan. 


The private placement is subject to regulatory approval.
