Solara Exploration Closes Private Placement

NOT FOR DISSEMINATION IN THE UNITED STATES OR TO US PERSONS

Solara Exploration Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SAA.A) (TSX VENTURE:SAA.B) ("Solara" or the
"Company") is pleased to announce that it closed a private placement of
4,080,000 Units for gross proceeds of $1,020,000 (the "Private Placement"). Each
Unit is comprised of one (1) Class A Flow-Through Share ("Flow-Through Share")
of the Company priced at $0.25 per share and one Class A Flow-Through Share
Purchase Warrant ("Warrant"). Two Warrants plus $0.30 are exercisable into one
(1) Class A Flow-Through Share on or before March 31, 2011. The Company paid a
finders fee to an arm's length broker in the amount of $60,000 and 240,000
broker warrants, with each broker warrant exercisable into one (1) Class A Share
of the Company at a price of $0.25 per share until July 31, 2011. All securities
issued pursuant to the Private Placement are subject to a four (4) month hold
pursuant to applicable securities legislation. The Units were sold to fund
Solara's exploration and development drilling activities in the Marwayne and
Pembina areas of Alberta.
