Solara Exploration Announces Update on Current Completion and Drilling Operations

Solara Exploration Ltd. ("Solara" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:SAA.A) (TSX
VENTURE:SAA.B) announces that it has recently completed the drilling and casing
of its horizontal well as a potential Cardium oil well in the Pembina (Buck
Lake) area of Alberta. The Company is currently in the process of fracing and
completing the well for production. Solara anticipates that this activity will
be completed within the next several days and will report the results at that
time. The Company is also currently completing two recently drilled oil wells
for production on its Dewberry Project located in eastern Alberta. Over the past
several months, Solara has drilled and completed for production eight (8) oil
wells on its operated Dewberry Project in addition to the two wells which it is
currently completing. As well, the Company is in the process of drilling another
well on the project. Solara will report on the results of all of these
activities in the very near future. The Company also has plans to drill a
horizontal well into the Dina formation on its 100% owned lands at Dewberry in
early October, 2010. This horizontal well is designed to follow up on its
original new Dina oil pool discovery in July in which the Company currently has
two producing conventional oil wells.
