PetroReal Energy Inc. Announces Director Resignation

PetroReal Energy Inc. (TSX VENTURE:PNI) ("PetroReal" or the "Corporation")
announces that Patrick McGowan has resigned from the board of directors and as
chairman effective March 25, 2009 to pursue other interests. The Corporation is
undertaking its best efforts to select his replacement. The PetroReal board of
directors and management wishes Mr. McGowan success in his future endeavors.
With the departure of Mr. McGowan, Mr. Ernst Schlotter, director, president and
chief executive officer, assumes the position as chairman of the board.
