Perlite Canada Inc. Announces its Results for the First Quarter of 2012

Perlite Canada inc. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:PCI) announces hereby the
results for its first quarter 2012 ended on January 31, 2012 (the "1st Quarter
2012").


The Company's sales totals $1,683,482 for the 1st Quarter 2012 compared to
$1,600,402 for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2011. 


The Company posted a net loss of $18 815 during the 1st Quarter 2012 compared to
a net loss of $23 290 for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2011.


Sales for the 1st Quarter 2012 could have been higher had it not been that some
Company's major clients have been faced to a peat shortage. This peat shortage
has an impact more particularly on our Saint-Pacome plant which serves producers
from the lower Saint-Lawrence river area and from New-Brunswick. Management of
the Company foresees that this peat shortage will continue to have a negative
impact on the Company's sales for the second quarter, and more specifically on
the sales of our Saint-Pacome plant, until temperature allows producers to work
in the field.

distribution and sale of perlite and vermiculite, two minerals used in industry
and horticulture.
