Maple Leaf Resource Corp. Announces Appointment of New President, Chief Executive Officer and Director

MAPLE LEAF RESOURCE CORP. (TSX VENTURE:MPL.P) (the "Company") is pleased to
announce that Mr. Jonathan Lexier has been appointment as President, Chief
Executive Officer and a director of the Company effective July 31, 2013. Mr.
Lexier has an MBA from the Ivey School of Business and a Bachelors of
Engineering from the University of Manitoba. He is a registered professional
engineer in the Province of Alberta and has management experience with Drakkar
Energy Inc., Highpine Oil & Gas Ltd., Terrex Energy Inc. and NAL Resources
Management Limited. 


Mr. Lexier replaces Mr. Shane Doyle as President and Chief Executive Officer,
who is stepping down to focus on financing opportunities for the Company. Mr.
Doyle will continue to serve on the Company's board of directors. 


The Company is a capital pool company under the policies of the Exchange.
