Essex Angel Capital Inc. Extends Proxy Deposit Cut-Off Time

Essex Angel Capital Inc. (TSX VENTURE:EXC) (the "Corporation") announced today
that in connection with the Corporation's annual special and general meeting of
shareholders to be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, the Corporation extended
the cut-off time for depositing proxies with the Corporation's transfer agent
and registrar, Equity Financial Trust Company, to 10:00 am (Toronto Time) on
January 10, 2012. Only registered shareholders as of the record date, December
9, 2011, may deposit their proxies.


Registered Shareholders

You are a registered shareholder if the common shares of the Corporation (the
"Common Shares") are registered in your name. You can complete the form of proxy
and submit it in accordance with the instructions thereon, or, alternatively,
send a copy of the completed proxy via email to the following address:

Non-Registered (Beneficial) Shareholders

You are a beneficial shareholder if the Common Shares are held on your behalf
by, and registered in the name of, a broker, securities dealer, financial
institution, or other intermediary (an "Intermediary"). Each Intermediary has
its own form of proxy return instructions. If you have not yet received these
instructions, you should contact the Intermediary and ask them to vote your
Common Shares prior to the extended proxy cut-off time.
