Exceed Announces Preliminary Discussions

Exceed Energy Inc. (TSX VENTURE:EX.A) ("Exceed" or the "Corporation") notes the
recent movement in its share price. The Corporation announces that it has
entered into preliminary discussions with a third party expressing an interest
in a potential business combination with the Corporation. While such preliminary
discussions are ongoing, no agreement has been reached and there can be no
assurances that any transaction will occur.
