Ayecom Deploys Even Technologies Compression Solutions for Image Search in Video Streams

Even Technologies Inc. (TSX VENTURE:ETI) is pleased to announce that a contract
has been signed with Ayecom Inc. ("Ayecom"), an industry leader in image search
tools for video streams. Under this contract, Ayecom has licensed PSI_I(TM)
Video Compression and Decompression for Intranets. The grant of License includes
an initial payment of $300,000 toward license fees and future royalties.


Even Technologies' PSI_I(TM) solution for intranets enables Ayecom to compress
video files for rapid transmission and image recognition on IP networks. The
PSI_I(TM) system supports a variety of data rates and frame sizes to facilitate
effective delivery of any content, on any network, at one-third the bit rate of
H.264.


Using their proprietary INRA (IN Stream Recognition Application) technology,
Ayecom is commercializing an image recognition system integrating PSI_I(TM)
compression solutions from Even Technologies. The advanced technology of the
PSI_I(TM) compression provides for 66% reductions in the bandwidth required to
deliver video images for INRA image recognition. This will enable effective
searching for objects in video streams at 450 kbps and greatly improve the
delivery and management of images and video over IP networks.


Ayecom has entered into this contract with a view to integrate what they believe
to be "the most efficient and flexible compression technology" into their
leading edge applications.
