Epic Data International Announces Joint Venture with Chinese Academic Institution

Epic Data International Inc. (TSX VENTURE:EKD), a provider of manufacturing
execution systems (MES), today announced the formation of a joint venture
enterprise with Huazhong University of Science & Technology (HUST), a leading
Chinese university located in Wuhan, China. The joint venture agreement was
signed at a trade mission event in Shanghai hosted by the Hon. Christy Clark,
Premier of British Columbia.


The joint venture will focus on the marketing of software solutions to leading
automotive and aerospace manufacturers in China. Epic Data's new Chief
Technology Officer, Huang Gang, Ph.D., formerly an associate professor at HUST,
will lead the collaborative development project to integrate HUST and Epic Data
technologies for the joint venture.
