Culane Appoints New Chairman

Culane Energy Corp. ("Culane" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:CLN) regrets to
announce that due to personal matters combined with increasing outside business
obligations, Mr. Glenn Carley has resigned as Chairman and Director of Culane
Energy Corp. effective February 1, 2011. Mr. Carley has been with the Company
since its inception in December of 2002. Over the past eight years his
contributions to the growth and direction of the Company have been instrumental
in the successful development of the Company's Killam oil field and
implementation of its waterflood project at Killam. We are very grateful for his
service to Culane and its shareholders, and have enjoyed working with him as a
close colleague over the past eight years. 


On Behalf of the Board of Directors, Officers and employees of Culane, we thank
Mr. Carley for his contribution to the Company.


In addition, Culane is pleased to announce that Mr. Harley Winger has been
appointed as Chairman of the Board for the Company. Mr. Winger has been a
director of the Company since inception and is fully versed in the business of
the Company and able to immediately assume the role of Chairman.
