Columbus Energy Ltd.: Private Placement-8,250,000 Units to Raise $412,500

Columbus Energy Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:CEL) - 

The Company has now closed a private placement for 8,250,000 units at $0.05 per
unit to raise $412,500 first announced December 17, 2009.


Each unit will consist of one common share and a transferable five year purchase
warrant allowing the purchaser to purchase an additional share at a price of
$0.10. 


Paul Ray, President of Columbus Energy, subscribed for 1,000,000 units. A
finder's fee of 345,000 shares of the company was paid to Clive Campbell.


The shares issued from this placement are subject to a 4 month hold period and
cannot be traded before September 01, 2010.
