Azabache Announces Appointment of New CFO

Azabache Energy Inc. ("Azabache" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:AZA) is pleased
to announce the appointment of Mr. Marc Bouchard Chief Financial Officer ("CFO")
of the Company effective April 1, 2014. Mr. Mark Hopkins has resigned as CFO
effective the same date but will remain with the Company as a part time
Controller for a six month period. The Company thanks Mr. Hopkins for his
contributions to the Company.


Mr. Bouchard is the chairman Chairman of Toll Cross Securities Inc. ("Toll
Cross"), an IIROC member firm, and served as the CFO of Toll Cross for 12 years.
He has previously held both public and private company CFO positions with
Teleglobe, Bell Canada, Fonorola and Shearson Lehman Brothers Asia Inc. Mr.
Bouchard has over 30 years of international experience in finance and
accounting, and has participated in a significant amount of capital raising and
M&A activity. He is a graduate of McGill University with First Class Honors in
Economics and Finance.
