PERTH, Western Australia, July 13, 2011 /CNW/ -- NOT FOR DISTRIBUTION TO UNITED STATES NEWSWIRE SERVICES OR FOR DISSEMINATION IN THE UNITED STATES PERTH, Western Australia, July 13, 2011 /CNW/ - Gold producer Adamus Resources (ASX and TSXV: ADU) advised that strong progress was achieved on operational and exploration activities at the company's Nzema Gold Project in Ghana, West Africa during June 2011.  This included : OPERATIONS -- Mining contractor meeting targets, with mining continuing to focus on Salman South 1A and 1B pits. -- Construction of the Salman North haul road continued during the month, whilst the Salman - Akango phase 2 access road commenced. -- Processing plant and facilities continue to meet design specifications and are performing well. Plant availability at 96% for the month. -- Construction of the Salman village continues to progress with focus during the month on residential housing. -- Survey commenced on Anwia prospect and field work is underway for farm surveys. Site clearing is to commence in July 2010. EXPLORATION -- Reverse circulation drilling commenced at Nfutu prospect, while diamond drilling at same location was completed. -- Planned field reconnaissance was undertaken at the Kanyankaw concession. Hotopo concession reconnaissance work is to be undertaken prior to a reverse circulation / aircore drilling program, commencing in August 2011. -- Crop assessment was undertaken at Awukyere (Avrebo West) prospect in preparation for a reverse circulation drilling program. GENERAL -- Quarterly Stakeholders Meeting was held in Takoradi.
