Acadian Energy Announces Awarding of New Options

Acadian Energy Inc. (TSX VENTURE:ACX) -- (the "Corporation") today announced
that it will, with Exchange approval, grant 400,000 common share purchase
options with an exercise price of $0.40 and a term of 5 years to three directors
and an officer of the corporation. Of those options, one-third will vest
immediately, with the remaining vesting one-third in one year, and one-third in
two years.
