Hughes Selects Motive Software to Streamline Management of Broadband Satellite Services; Motive Now Providing Broadband Manageme

Motive, Inc. (NASDAQ:MOTVE) today announced that Hughes
Network Systems, LLC (Hughes), the world's leading provider of
broadband satellite solutions, will use Motive software to build
intelligent automation into its broadband offerings, greatly
simplifying the process of rolling out and supporting new high-speed
Internet services. With this announcement, Motive is now the only
vendor providing broadband management solutions to service providers
in the DSL, cable, and satellite markets.
   Hughes pioneered the development of high-speed satellite Internet
services, which it sells globally. Available to consumers, small
office/home office, and commercial enterprises, Hughes is rapidly
expanding its subscriber base, and is increasingly focused on gaining
efficiencies in rolling out and supporting new services.

   Hughes will use a combination of Motive's High-Speed Data Fully
Automated Service Technology (FAST) solution and device management
software to automate the entire satellite service lifecycle, from
service activation, troubleshooting and problem resolution, to ongoing
maintenance, and service upgrades. Motive's device management
technology will help Hughes remotely deploy, configure, and manage its
customer-premise equipment used in the delivery of its high-speed
Internet services. In addition, Motive's solution will provide Hughes
subscribers and customer service representatives assisted and
self-service support tools via the phone and Web, eliminating many
costly manual tasks. Motive also will be an integral part of the
Hughes proactive monitoring system for enterprise customers.
