MatrixOne, Inc. (NASDAQ: MONE), a leading provider of
collaborative product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions for the
value chain(TM), today announced that it has entered into a reseller
agreement with D'GIPRO Design Automation Marketing Pvt. Ltd., a
leading EDA (electronic design automation) distributor services
company based in India.
"MatrixOne has long been recognized as one of the leaders in
semiconductor design data management solutions," said S. Ramachandran,
M.D. of D'GIPRO. "With this formal reseller agreement, our partnership
with MatrixOne will deliver the best of both worlds to our customers
-- local MatrixOne product support and EDA best practices from D'GIPRO
-- enabling them to dramatically improve their product design,
development and delivery processes."
Andy Kalambi, vice president and managing director, MatrixOne
Asia, said, "India has emerged as the largest offshore semiconductor
design hub outside the United States. Our presence in India through
D'GIPRO will strengthen our commitment to supporting our global
customers with design centers in India as well as local Indian
companies that would like to leverage global best practices in
semiconductor design data management solutions."
D'GIPRO has an established consulting group, whose goal is to help
clients employ collaborative processes and tools to take maximum
advantage of the broader definition of a product--not only in the
traditional EDA tool domain, but also throughout the product
lifecycle.
MatrixOne's Web-based collaborative PLM solutions unify and
streamline processes across the product lifecycle, bringing together
people, processes and content on a single platform--enabling companies
to easily and cost-effectively work on projects within and outside of
their enterprises, with the goal of reducing development costs and
time to market. MatrixOne's adaptable and scalable technology is built
to accommodate the ever-changing needs of its customers.
"D'GIPRO has more than 15 years of expertise in implementing
diverse EDA tools for our customers in India," added Patricia Megowan,
vice president of MatrixOne's global electronics business unit. "By
formalizing our partnership with D'GIPRO, we are expanding our reach
and increasing our ability to bring customers improved time-to-market
and better collaboration with suppliers and customers
across-the-board."
As a part of the reseller agreement, the two companies will focus
on providing semiconductor design management solutions and services
for both multi-national and indigenous companies in India, including
the following MatrixOne solutions:
MatrixOne's Synchronicity(R) Developer Suite(TM) - is already in
use at 12 of the top 15 semiconductor companies. It provides and
services an advanced design data management environment, which enables
global, multi-site development that can lower cycle times, increase
quality and improve a semiconductor organization's return on product
development.
Developer Suite provides designers with improved performance and
support for the industry's broadest range of EDA applications and
operating platforms. It includes MatrixOne's Synchronicity
DesignSync(R), its semiconductor design data management platform and
MatrixOne's Synchronicity ProjectSync(R), a project communication and
collaboration management solution. The optional MatrixOne's
Hierarchical Configuration Manager(TM) provides the industry's only
true block-based data management capability, enabling hierarchical
system-on-chip (SoC) design and reuse.
MatrixOne's Synchronicity Publisher Suite(R) with IP Gear(TM) -
has become the de facto standard for moving design information in and
between companies. MatrixOne's Synchronicity Publisher Suite with IP
Gear bundles MatrixOne's IP Gear(TM) Catalog and MatrixOne's IP
Gear(TM) Helpdesk to form a complete solution to manage, distribute
and support IP. The IP Gear Catalog is a server that organizes and
dynamically presents Web pages of relevant IP information. The IP Gear
Helpdesk is a rich support system with integrated issue tracking and a
knowledge base of legacy solutions and information.
MatrixOne's IP Gear Catalog - is used to distribute and track
sensitive IP to reduce complexity, errors and duplicated efforts.
Critical to a company's customer service efforts, the IP Gear Helpdesk
enables customers to be directed to the most appropriate content
expert so that issues are resolved efficiently. The IP Gear Helpdesk
provides a system to deploy common customer support methodologies
across globally dispersed groups and thus leverage best practices. Its
rich functionality and many features facilitate knowledge sharing and
quick problem resolution to reduce support costs.
MatrixOne Semiconductor Accelerator for Enterprise Project
Management(TM) - helps solve problems faced by semiconductor company
project managers as they work to balance their responsibilities in
managing globally dispersed project teams, including identifying and
facilitating projects that have the greatest chance for success;
getting chips out on time and on budget; eliminating costly errors;
and attaining predictable results with new chip introductions.
