At 4:30 am ET Friday, the Office for National Statistics publishes U.K. foreign trade and construction output data for October. The visible trade deficit is seen narrowing to GBP 11.8 billion in October from GBP 12.69 billion in September.

Ahead of these data, the pound rose against its major rivals.

As of 4:25 am ET, the pound was trading at 0.8422 against the euro, 1.2811 against the Swiss franc, 1.2601 against the U.S. dollar and 144.15 against the yen.
