Walmart was the unexpected wildcard that's made things even more bullish here;

"Significant Christmas order received from Walmart in the US, for W7 and Chit Chat product and in discussions to stock the Group's all year round product"

There are 4615 Walmart stores in the US, let's make an assumption that W7L ends up being stocked in 60% of them in the next 2 years and that average daily store sales are only $25, giving daily Walmart sales of $69,225. That would equate to $25.2m sales per annum... vs FY23 US revenue of £7.3m.

Now I've no idea whether 60% Walmart penetration within 2 years is feasible, or whether $25 sales per store per day is sensible, but if they've already placed a significant Christmas order then I'd say they must think demand will be there.

Results tomorrow so expecting some choppiness in the share price whilst market digests the news. Hopefully it will beat expectations but who knows and I have no idea where the share price is going to end up in the next few days

I learnt many, many years ago that the PE of a high growth share (which this one is) is pretty meaningless so I have ignored this measure for many years. If you see a high PE as a ceiling for share price you will miss out on the big winners. If you don't believe me go read O'Neil, Weinstein or more recently Minervini to name a few. People tend to buy shares when the PE is falling as they think it's "value" but more typically the best growth is behind it. We are not remotely close to that at the moment

You just have to spend an hour or two digesting the financials in detail to see how well this company has been performing / is being managed.

It's rare to see such rapid top line growth being exceeded by the bottom line. It's symbiotic because the cash generation is allowing them to expand inventory which is then supporting the rapid sales growth / product placement in new locations.

ELF Beauty have shown what can be possible having grown from a $500m market cap in 2020 to $9b today, they are valued at 10x sales / 57x PE, so W7L is still exceptionally cheap in comparison. It's growth trajectory is certainly showing a similar resemblance right now...

Excellent!

Warpaint London plc (AIM: W7L), the specialist supplier of colour cosmetics and owner of the W7 and Technic brands is pleased to provide an update on current trading and confirm the date for release of the Group's results for the year ended 31 December 2023.

The Company announced on 12 January 2024 that following continued strong trading in Q4 2023, sales and profit before tax for 2023 had exceeded previous expectations. The Company is pleased to report that the strong trading has continued in Q1 2024. Sales in Q1 2024 are a record first quarter for the Group, with sales to 31 March 2024 of approximately £23.5 million, 28% ahead of the same period in 2023 (Q1 2023: £18.4 million), with margins continuing to be robust and ahead of those achieved in 2023. Accordingly, given this strong start to the year, the outlook for FY 2024 is now expected to be ahead of the market's current expectations.

The Group expects to release its results for the year ended 31 December 2023 on 24 April 2024.

The Company continues to have a strong balance sheet, with no debt. Cash balances as at 2 April 2024 totalled £7.5 million after investment in a significant increase in stock to satisfy expected demand later in the year (31 March 2023: £8.5 million).
