I stand corrected.
The point is that this is a share you will either make or lot of money on or loose the lot, no half measures.

Ovd directors look at Global gaming.

JDA, I hate to challenge your grasp of basic arithmetic, but your assertion that "If you bought 5 shares and 4 went bust and 1 went up 10 times in value you still more than double your money" is of course factually wrong.

Put £1000 into each of 5 shares; write 4 off totally; multiply the remaining one by ten, and (before allowing for dealing costs) you have exactly doubled your money. Not more than - and less than, after costs.

But what I would say is nobody ever got rich by punting small amounts like £350; and hardly anyone apart from the company directors has actually made any money at all by investing solely in this type of share. You may think "safe" shares don't produce profits, but punting in this sort of stock is like backing racehorses at random, based solely on them being long odds.

if they are on the verge of doing a deal then the share price may be a large bargain, but if they do not do a deal the shares will eventually get suspended and be worthless.

My thought is something may be going on - even small, as why go to the time and expense of issueing shares.

Not worth selling.

Not sure I would buy over 100k but adding 10k a speculative punt when the company is worth virtually nothing anyhow, may be a good move. If you are a gambler and shares are a gamble, whats a £100 in the great scheme of things?

I am a holder (but this is not a pump and dump, just my thoughts).

JakNife - 11 Oct'07 - 11:31 - 1035 of 1123

It seems that yet again OVD is the subject of another pump 'n' dump from the Spanish Mafia. Anyone with even the slightest amount of common sense would look at the recent results:

And see that here is a cash shell with no cash, total net assets of £70k and 16m shares in issue with outstanding dilutive loan notes that have a "best friends" option to permit Ovidia's "best friends" to subscribe for new shares at 1p each!

The net asset value is materially south of 1p and it is obvious therefore why this stock needs ramping and why anyone paying more than 1p now is clearly a muppet.

regards,

JakNife

JakNife,

I was aware that the price had fallen considerably however the returns for those who had bought at 4p or less and held the distance (proabably not many if any at all) would have been mind blowing (5000% gain). From memory the rise from 4p to the £2 plus occurred over about a year, with two suspensions to my knowledge over that period. Also the fall shown from the £2 plus high on your chart occurred over a three year period, hardly what i would call a 'pump and dump' situation.

With respect to OVD, only time will tell. I've already lost my money with NWD therefore anything i can salvage through OVD is only a very small consolation. As i had stated in earlier posts, if the share price should rise to 7p plus levels then i will be out.

NWD Group plc did not go as well as they hoped but OVD could be a multi bagger... Shame about the wide spread ATM but hopefully things will get on track soon.

But my major worry is:

The company was incorporated in March 2000 as Windfall Share Plc and changed its name to Netwindfall PLC in June 2000. Later, it changed its name to NWD Group plc in 2002 and to Ovidia Investments PLC in June 2007. Ovidia Investments is headquartered in London, United Kingdom.
They do like to jump about abit but lets hope they can pull this off....

Jaknife comments are not at all true DYOR,
The interim report was good as they announced a swing into a first half profit and hit 7.5p not bad....thats x3s what its currently at now so again Jak is talking rubbish!
Just think if a good report comes out in december it could be x4-x5 that sitting at 10p

But just a word of warning dont put all your eggs in to one basket here...

if you wish to talk to OVD direct give them a bell.... +44-20-7823-2823

Officers:
Chairman: Nigel T. Gourlay
Managing Director: Stephen Stroud
Finance Director and Secretary: David Harrison

PS
CFM court case is happening on the 18th if they win you will see the share price at least have a 80% rise i believe but remember there is a risk involed! No risk no reward, Just aheads up.

closed up 36%, more than happy with that.

hi2eddie

Eralier you couldn't buy more 2500....as the share price kept going up to 150%...so later as share price went down hence less demand and so easy to buy. I see rns as positive, from nothing to 2.8m operational profit.... all companies have to issue statement when share price react is such manner. re share float, only 2.5m changed hands so still plenty floating.
