jda: if they are on the verge of doing a deal then the share price may be a large bargain, but if they do not do a deal the shares will eventually get suspended and be worthless. My thought is something may be going on - even small, as why go to the time and expense of issueing shares. Not worth selling. Not sure I would buy over 100k but adding 10k a speculative punt when the company is worth virtually nothing anyhow, may be a good move. If you are a gambler and shares are a gamble, whats a £100 in the great scheme of things? I am a holder (but this is not a pump and dump, just my thoughts).

canny lass: JakNife, I was aware that the price had fallen considerably however the returns for those who had bought at 4p or less and held the distance (proabably not many if any at all) would have been mind blowing (5000% gain). From memory the rise from 4p to the £2 plus occurred over about a year, with two suspensions to my knowledge over that period. Also the fall shown from the £2 plus high on your chart occurred over a three year period, hardly what i would call a 'pump and dump' situation. With respect to OVD, only time will tell. I've already lost my money with NWD therefore anything i can salvage through OVD is only a very small consolation. As i had stated in earlier posts, if the share price should rise to 7p plus levels then i will be out.

jaknife: Canny Lass, Re FuturaGene, here's a chart: In my personal opinion, the frequency with which the share price of Knifton/Weller companies are ramped, only to then go on to materially disappoint, is so great as to be unexplainable simply as a coincidence. All of the facts here point to shareholders ultimately losing money on OVD, that's why the share is being ramped and sold to people who haven't researched the truth. regards JakNife

canny lass: JakNife, Thanks for your good constructive posts above. If i recall Leo Knifton and Weller were involved in OND (Overnet Data) which either later reversed or merged with a name change to FuturaGene. The share price rose from 4p to well over £1, probably nearer to £2 in a relatively short period. I have been informed by a realiable source that the reverse company at one point could have been NWD, however Leo eventually chose to go forward with OND, selling NWD to Alan Page. Another one that Leo Knifton is involved with is PNC Telecom, not sure if Nigel Weller has any involvement in this one. I am not by any means trying to suggest that OVD (Ovidia) if reversed will reach the sunny highs that OND did but if it can sustain a viable business then at least there is hope of a future.

jaknife: Tlee05, I'm unsure on what nearby cloud you've done your numbers but down here on planet earth OVD is a cash shell with no cash! Its current net asset value is close enough to zero as to be called zero and on that basis the only reason that the share price might go up is if the share is ramped again (as has happened before with OVD and as appears to happen frequently with the cash shells that Weller/Knifton bring to market). The charts above though show what happens in the long run with Weller/Knifton companies. regards JakNife

jda: becareful blowmedown, you will upset JakNife, who still wishes to accumulate more, and has made the same post several dozen times. The share based on market cap alone, has to be worth a punt, whcih could multiply several times in value. Certinly do not invest more than you can afford but this share has not been refloated, just to sit for 12 months doing nothing. Unlike some, I increased my holdings from the old NWD, by a large chunk, well below todays share price, and took out a number when they had a large jump, a few months back. However the rest (75%) are in for the longer haul- and Yes before anyone says I am ramping, I have not recovered my losses from NWD days, but then this is a different animal. The past is past, the future looks better.

The marketing services company posted a pretax profit of 2.81 mln stg for the first half ended June 30 compared with a loss of 457,000 stg a year ago. Administrative expenses declined to 4,000 stg from 2.88 mln stg. clivee: So what effects the share price. people buying and selling or what people say on BB. As you can see there has been a big drop in share price yesterday and today but not much selling. It would'nt be the MM's are playing with the numbers so they can sell high and buy low and earn lot'e & lot's.
