why do these companies have the high price on the ask and worthless on the bids

some paid half the price that others did. It does make any difference if you paid £10 per share with a bid of only 0.020p.

This share rose 90odd percent today and you still can only sell for 0.02p. If they had a decent spread of at least half the price to sell, and with a market cap of under 100K one could make a fortune on these kind of stocks.
