Posted at 08/9/2016 12:49 by sweenoid IBC starting tomorrow is a good opportunity for the digital and connected audio world to make a markHere is a link to a conference session there I am led to believe that AS was effectively sacked by the 'investors' who were running FS, he is an abrasive character, I guess they didn't like his style. Ian Pearson who was on the board representing IMG was a supporter but was outgunned. When TMZ effectively bought FS he was a natural to run the business. I agree with others who believe his heart was not entirely in running the healthcare business, FS is his 'baby' and it seems that at last the market is catching up with the capabilities that FS offers. I have had a big rethink on Toumaz, dispelled my disappointment with Sensium and although having reservations on things such as salary, see a bright business case for our technology. It's for others to take the mantle from us and over the last 10 years that simply hasn't happened. We are now the lead runner with Googlecast and connected audio and expect this to remain the case. Any connection to Amazon would be massive-we shall see In for a penny , in for a pound , bought yet more this morning my average buy price is ticking down but still way above today's SP S |
Posted at 02/9/2016 12:29 by sweenoid One of the advantages of now being a company with ONE CORE Business is that it's easier to understand for new investors.I once was a big investor in COR or Chorion which had 2 strands of business IP portfolio for Enid Blyton and Agatha Christie and also a bars business ( tiger tiger etc) as disparate as you could get and I am sure that put a lot of people off , although I had great fun with that investment , including visiting all the new bars countrywide as they opened - nothing like good market research ;-) Sensium seemed like a good idea and drove many of our investments but at the end of the day we were too small, lacking resources and contacts to crack the healthcare market. By divesting that business and not being perpetually distracted by it , our CEO can concentrate on what is in effect 'his baby' as well as our core area of competence. This might pan out for me ....after all S |
Posted at 02/9/2016 09:05 by blueteam The big potential is there now for all to see and TMZ has a real platform for a large revenue stream. Expect over the months as more deals come to light to really kick on. Would think as this gets re-rated more investors / institutes will be coming on board. |
Posted at 01/9/2016 17:50 by aura01 Hi DrewsterLike you, I have been at an investors meeting where it was fairly obvious that we were involved with more than one 'big player'. I think one could read between the lines, that in addition to Google, we were also linking with Amazon......even if they did not say it directly. Reading the last ERT article, why would Anthony Sethill mention Sonos, if we were not going to be linked in some way. He is not here to promote the opposition......espe Only time will tell. A ps Toumaz must have an original Amazon Echo in their office for a reason??? |
Posted at 26/8/2016 08:24 by the drewster They must be tied up in confidentiality clauses around Echo but I and several other investors remain convinced we're in, which if and when confirmed, COULD have a mighty impact on the Mkt Cap. |
Posted at 23/8/2016 09:10 by the drewster I spoke with some fellow investors and we went through our collective notes regarding Amazon. They were mentioned by Anthony at the 2015 AGM and in various chats afterwards, so I am convinced we are involved in the Amazon Echo story. What none of us know, is how this can or will be commercialised for Toumaz/Frontier - the all important "what's in it for us" question. |
Posted at 26/7/2016 22:10 by project77 Drew, I hope for the sake of all the private investors you are right. |
Posted at 19/6/2016 11:05 by hazl life of crime has a point in there,it's always about the big firms and they often,it seems to me,let the little firms do all the hard work, wait until the firm is on its knees and then take it out,at a fraction of its worth,as we the investors get more disillusioned and capitulate and they can afford to wait. Of course it has come at a time when the NHS has to justify every penny, couple that alongside the red-tape and here we are today. IMO |
Posted at 17/6/2016 13:20 by trek3 So project, which category do you fall into, I presumefrom your statement you work in finance, perhaps with a broking house, or perhaps a merchant bank, do enlighten us poor private investors, any advice you could pass on would be gratefully appreciated. |
Posted at 17/6/2016 11:53 by project77 I am fascinated by the comments on this forum. I never really understood about retail investors; they have to make investment decisions with so little information, unlike the institutional investors who have regular briefings in person from Jonathon and Antony. The frustration of OYH is perfectly understandable in the circumstances. The public information, such as it is, really just paints a hopeful picture; whereas the facts are that Frontier Silicon have taken 80% market share, tens of millions in revenue and managed to make a loss on it every year; and on SensiumVitals, they took about £9m investment cash and spent much of it on the consumer side, leaving the healthcare business to wither. Has anyone bought the Pure Radio business from Imagination yet? |
