Hi yasX,

These Mello events are plugged on a different website. I urge readers to get the word out that they are overly promotional offerings not helpful to any novice investor

and

I would like someone to attend the Mello event and ask the 'promoter' to justify his one billion market cap.....and to advise the idiots attending that they will be lured into the next Inditherm.

Rather than pontificate on 2 x minority interest boards (this and Tethys TPL seem, from a cursory review, to be the only boards you post on) you might consider either posting on a more popular site - to get your 'health warning' out more effectively......or even pitch up at one of the free Mello events and make your case directly.

If you've got the courage of your convictions, that is : (anonymous) talk is cheap....

The ramping was most certainly unjustified - opinions are one thing, but, the outcomes he suggested were so far detached from reality that even a ten year old could have ascertained they were being led up the garden path. But, Mello attendees do not read - they just soak up the tip and buy....

Hi yasX,

Leaving aside your ad hominem remarks re davidosh and Paulypilot, why do you imagine investors of the calibre of Lord John Lee, Giles Hargreaves, Gervais Williams etc would risk their reputations at Mello events, unless they felt they were high quality......?

You can usually judge people by the company they keep.

You seem to post a lot about Tethys Petroleum (TPL), which appears to be a member of the 90% club.

Pls share with us the companies/boards where (any) respected investors share your views.

yasX your talking a lot of nonsense, i attended my first Mello event and learnt more in one day than i did in the previous six months. Bought ACAL and RBN on the back of their presentations and share prices in both are substantially up, also listened to wise words from several guests on how they invest and what they think will do well in the future ,hence i've bought into Bonmarche and added to a previous holding in Essenden. Not all co's impressed but being there it was clear to see which ones to avoid.
Just because davidosh is or was a holder here, which is none of my business, doesn't mean Mello events are not worthwhile to private investors.

I think it's a bit unfair to criticise management here (or David for that matter), as they've been pretty open, hard working and honest as far as I can see. If David has a large position and wants to exit or reduce his holding (no idea if he has), you can hardly expect him to flag it in advance.

As investors, we can see what they've got is some electrically conductive polymer sheeting, which they're trying to apply primarily in medical applications, where even heating is important, and cost not the primary driver. Of course it is up to us to see that there might be many others methods for heating, and an electrical mat with single point feedback for control might be far from optimal. The potential market size is also pretty small.

Glad I sold this a few months ago - never met the management team but their investor communication makes them come across (to me at least) as people who are running the business for academic interest rather than with teh aim of generating shareholder value. They need to get the turnover to £3m levels rather than the £2m run-rate which its at and the greater emphasis on the distribution business is just going to lower margins and take it longer to get to break-even.

Having cash equivalent to 3 years of current burn-levels is all very well and good but you need to be doing something to the business in that time. Personally I think they should try to find a buyer for the company - at least a buyer could strip out a lot of overheads, management costs and be able to see a route to profitabilty and therefore pay a price for the company. Whether management would do themselves out of a job though is often questionnable...

Not a holder here and never have been despite running an eye over it.As regards David, I think it is fair to look at things as a whole, not in isolation. To counter the negativity one could mention Crawshaw, which David homed in on at just a few pence I believe. As for his events, a great opportunity for retail investors to meet and hear the company's in action, with a platform to ask questions. At the end of the day though we all make our choices and decide whether to invest or not.

Hi yasx, that's one potential explanation, he was certainly plugging it at 6p+ last year over on motley fool and it did shortly afterwards spike up above 10p. If he wanted to he could use these spikes to his advantage, however we don't have any evidence that's the case?he does have a good record overall and does arrange small investor events which I'm sure take up a considerable amount of his time and effort, for no direct financial gain. This would for me counter the more 'Machiavellian' explanation you've provided.

Again i say this is one share of many that have outperformed so your taking the story of Inditherm way out of context in relation to the investor events, incidently i've never been fortunate to attend one but have still benefitted from the feedback of attendees. No idea if Davidosh is still holding these or not but that's still his business not mine.
