Posted at 26/6/2021 21:42 by southcoastbather Hey Bluemango I have no issue with you but these chats are for everyone and all views to do with FRP.I am 100 percent not the poster you are trying to associate me with. Are you aware FRP have already wiped out their own shareholders in the past? FRP have 2 options currently - they either take legal action against the board of directors at Koovs or FRP themselves get buried for misconduct - being a listed company with investors to answer to I think they will probably choose the first option. The exposure starts this week! |
Posted at 26/6/2021 18:49 by southcoastbather Halimora - sadly your friend has no value in those shares as they were part of the old company.FRP advisory was itself taken into administration and then the assets were purchased by the Directors inc Mr Goff Rowley - they then brought the company back to the market and re floated the company. An administrator going into administration itself is some kind of irony hey!? In a nutshell old investors were wiped out and the board of directors that ran the company into administration picked up the assets for a pittance and then took money off new investors via the stock market for the new company and these are the shares that are currently traded. Beggars belief how this kind of thing happens. I hope your friend gets over this loss. Keep your eye on the financial times tomorrow its going to be a good one for your friend to read. |
Posted at 07/4/2021 10:42 by bluemango You can see a 'higher low' on the chart; a sign that the gradual drift from June 2020 may be over, with the shares starting to attract more interest - as investors here start to look ahead to the necessary withdrawal of government support.A clear timetable of quarterly dividend payments will also help that process. |
Posted at 17/2/2021 14:18 by paleje This was tipped a couple of days ago on Master Investor site:- |
Posted at 15/2/2021 11:01 by bluemango FRP financial calendar on their website confirms quarterly dividend payable 11th June, is for Q3 - covering end Oct 2020 to end Jan 2021.Many companies with quarterly dividends tend to have equal payments for the first three quarters, with a larger payment for the last quarter once they know their year end figures. |
Posted at 29/10/2020 07:28 by sunshine today Well it looks as if I was 100% correct back in May when the shares were trading at £1.30P.sunshine Today18 May '20 - 14:09 - 300 of 384 It appears that more than one investor got the PE wrong, at least it’s now in the open. It shows that some so called great financial research sites, are rubbish without the human touch. For the reasons posted earlier I now no longer hold shares in FRP.Today the shares stand in the odd couple of pence below the stocks all time high and up from its 72P low. I think the company over time will thrive but with just 16% growth forecast and the government about to probably mess up the long established insolvency laws the case for investment has changed.I do hope those that have invested since I created the thread have done, and continue to do well. |
Posted at 15/9/2020 10:42 by bluemango Wednesday 9th September 2020 14:15 BSTSky News has learnt that Philip Day, whose Edinburgh Woollen Mill Group (EWM) ranks among Britain's biggest private companies, has drafted in advisers to field enquiries about some of its best-known assets. Sources said on Wednesday that EWM had received expressions of interest in at least three of its brands, including Jacques Vert, from a number of "international investors", including at least one in China. They said that Mr Day had sanctioned the appointment of FRP Advisory to field those enquiries but emphasised that he was not actively looking to sell any or all of the three labels. |
Posted at 27/8/2020 14:44 by sunshine today I think I called this spot on, my real worry here is not the company, but the government. They will cheat as long as they can, to prop things up, thus, preventing 15% of companies to going bust in the near future. They should all be in profit.I hope to do as well with my next investment SYME where the shares have fallen 70% since the IPO 8 weeks ago. Those have have the time can look then up on Proactive Investors. I like what they are doing, news since the IPO has been good with more due in June. Finally good luck here,I am moving on,and will no longer post on this board |
