Posted at 18/2/2014 20:08 by petersinthemarket Many thanks for your responses guys. I genuinely appreciate all comment, whether positive or negative, as long as it is pertinent and properly considered. FWIW I added another 100,000 shares this afternoon. Not an earth shattering volume perhaps, but my total holding is now getting way beyond anything I would normally accept in another stock. I hope for everyone's sake that our mutual judgements prove to be profitable. Luckily, we should not have long to wait for further clues as at some time during the next few months we should find out whether the promise to break even has come true. I believe that this hoped-for piece of news is absolutely critical to future investor confidence. GL all holders, pete |

Posted at 28/1/2014 19:39 by petersinthemarket REF: ''petersinthemarket,It may be of interest to holders to know that I emailed a version of the above to BES and today received a most courteous reply from Don Goulding, Executive Chairman. ''I can confirm that we plan to give an update regarding Christmas trading covering the period October to December. However we do not plan on quarterly reporting simply because we are relatively small and therefore tightly resourced. I trust you understand. Our update should be issued shortly and I would welcome your feedback on the information contained therein. Kind regards..... Don'' Must say I'm very impressed with BES investor relations. Bodes well. GL all, pete |
Posted at 12/1/2014 12:55 by petersinthemarket From time to time this thread discusses which part of the company's product range might be sold off for a short term profit. To me this would be like an animal stock holder selling off one leg at a time. The result would be that the remainder was much less successful and perhaps no longer even viable. I suggest that many, if not most, of the investors here would much prefer that successful products should not be sold off to third parties and that all board decisions should be directed towards growing the company strength so that the company and all its investors continue to gain value over a somewhat longer period. I do not know very much about the philosophy of our directors but I would hope that they understand and support the continued growth process. GL to all holders, pete |
Posted at 22/12/2013 07:57 by dante17 2014 is going to be one hell of a year for BES! Breaking into profitability, bringing an end to dilutions/placings, perhaps introducing another new product, getting more analysts on board to provide coverage, seeing new institutional investors taking a position, making inroad into the North American markets with Redleg and Blackwood's, redesigning and remarketing Blavod, changing the name of the company to reflect the multibrand nature of the business, and so much more. All of these are on the cards and most will happen within 2014. Of course a bid for a part or the whole cannot be ruled out either. With all of this in the offing, who would be surprised to see 5-6p this time next year? I for one would be extremely disappointed if we are anywhere below that.Merry Christmas everyone. |
Posted at 13/11/2013 20:24 by salonie Hi Berny3, interesting comment above and I can see where you are coming from, to a point. I realise the supermarkets are all about volume at a lower margin, however they do make products accessible. I don't mind paying the extra for a quality product, spend my days selling on that principle. Main concern is where can I pick it up - off the shelf. I will by a few more on-line from the Whisky Club, for the Christmas period. However from an investors point of view, it would be good if BES could get it out there, a bit more. I am sure it will happen over time. ATB |

Who knows what they might one day be worth?' 'In summary, we are entering stock market times when special situation funds often deliver exceptional returns. As investors look for excitement in smaller companies they often populate this area of the market in search of the next great growth story.' |

Funds raised from the Placing will be applied to general working capital and the development and marketing of existing drinks brands together with the relaunch of certain other owned brands. The Placing is conditional upon Admission. Don Goulding, Executive Chairman of the Company, commented: "We are delighted to have received support for this Placing from our existing larger shareholders and a number of new investors. The money we have raised will be put to work swiftly, but prudently, and help the roll-out of brands like RedLeg and the recently relaunched Blackwoods gin, both of which have been very successful despite a modest marketing budget." |
Posted at 18/8/2013 21:17 by berny3 Reverse takeover no! The true brand value would not be recognised. Private company wanting to acquire a public company usually means the private company has issues and the investors are looking for an exit. The brands in Blavod represent fantastic value. That value will be recognised. Are you on that shareholder list MG? |
Posted at 13/8/2013 15:06 by scotty1 I must admit it does seem like it's all coming together nicely for BES now.It would seem like now would be a good time for any new investors to take the plunge.Still needs a lot higher share price for those who have been in long term, butnever the less momentum does seem to be building. |
