24/3/2023 08:33 | thanks for asking my question on ROCE. ultimately a company's stock price will track this over time and i was worried when it dipped so low. However he gave a decent answer on why it will get back to previous highs of 16%+. I see no reason if they can get poland to full utilisation and they can out license rezorce the previous highs on ROCE cannot be surpassed. | edwardt

22/3/2023 08:19 | Agreed. My personal experience was in working for a company that attempted to launch two products into a market place where it had an excellent name and reputation. They tried to diversify into bolt-on products through licensing products supplied from other countries. The first product was a rival to a big product line for a heavyweight, in the bigger sector, whose marketing budget exceeded the group revenue for our business. It quickly disappeared. The second and very different item was a 'rolls royce' product that was significantly better quality than those of rivals, but priced as such. That didn't work either. Price point too high and very difficult to dislodge the basic product that did the job very well and had a good operating life before wearing out and requiring replacement. I understand the difficulties, and cannot see them succeeding without a multinational partner. Both can profit very significantly from recurring revenues. Once 'live' in the market, it will be a very long time before a rival emerges to gobble up the business. In the meantime plenty of returns for both parties through volume sales. red | redartbmud
22/3/2023 08:11 | At the end of the day legislation is coming in 2025 and packaging companies will need to comply. | geraldus
22/3/2023 07:50 | Then they need a heavyweight partnership, or even consider licensing the technology to the likes of Tetra Laval or Ball Corporation. | bookbroker
22/3/2023 07:45 | clock The simple answer is that they are attempting to punch well above their weight with liquid cartons. To service the market would require an operation, the cost of which many multiples greater than the market cap of the business. They appear to have created the process by which the foam sheets can be turned into cartons that can retain liquids safely. That needs to be scaled up for producions in the billions of units. At the same time that would displace the current cartons in use. A seismic shift. Possible, of course. The transition from glass to plastic bottles and 'paper' cartons wasn't without problems for the consumer and the industry. The current offering works. The Ztf new technology is revolutionary. It needs a real heavyweight behind it, who can dislodge the established producers. red | redartbmud
22/3/2023 07:36 | Great post Red.The progress on ReZorce last year seemed glacial with commercial trials still ongoing. They have also made comments of launch partners in previous interviews for dates now passed so obviously big issues to overcome. It is stated as high risk/high reward but they remain committed and DS said ReZorce value is not in the shareprice. Not the best market conditions presently.Within twelve months I would hope all is clear and then the next hurdle, they could have a tiger by its tail. | geraldus
22/3/2023 04:51 | Red, very well summed up and much my thoughts having listened to them. The aero side has of the business has without doubt been a big part of the increase in turnover and profits, as the product is very high value compared to most other products due to the high specifications required for safety regulations in part. The reliance on Nike is one little concern as fashion and innovation can spring up from a market spoiler at any time in the coming years. They are also clearly aware of the need to be more active when it comes to recycling, which is a point that I noticed that in the past was dismissed to a large extent. Finding a partner could lead to the breakup of the company or a outright takeover if the huge potential is within reach and as you mentioned, pouches were the flavour of previous presentations, now that seems to have gone out the window rapidly, which I found surprising. I am left wondering how long this will take and are they really equipped to handle the challenge of making this the billion pound business that it could become. | clocktower
21/3/2023 23:09 | I was out today and missed the live presentation. I have now caught up. when I read the headline numbers, I was very impressed with the numbers ad the apparent progress. Listening to the re-run I can understand the market reaction. There are still big questions to answer on ReZorce. I got a feeling of frustration creeping in and anticipated deadlines going further out. Small scale trials over the next 12 months and then possibly bigger partner trials to follow, possibly, maybe, potentially, depending or whatever. Partner to be determined buy not yet sourced etc. etc. It didn't fill me with confidence that they were in a position to move forward with any certainty on this front. Pouches were pushed last time round and now they are on the back burner. I need to re-listen, so I may be looking at a negative that isn't quite as negative as I believe it to be, but I need pursuading. It looks like the aero side has better prospects and I better understand the Nike relationship. Comments on Croydon were also a negative. I understood that the site was inefficient and constrained because of location, age and layout. In time the higher spec technical output could be relocated elsewhere on more up to date kit and with a lower operating cost base. I am not convinced that is happening to any great degree. I don't want to be negative on what I believe to be a great company with equally great potential, but that is where I am at present. I have no intention of selling a share. I have seen this scenario before professionally. The quick solution to their critical path limiting factors would be a takeover by a bigger and better resourced outfit that has the personnel, finance and time to finish the job. That would not suit me, because i would lose out to them, with my shares being bought for a value well below the true enterprise value should they succeed with their plans. However time and technology moves on and it is necessary to operate at that optimum level or lose out to other parties in the longer term, ending up with nothing or just crumbs on the plate.
