30/11/2023 07:37 | Yes. Terrible results were expected and holders were warned before but looks good for turn around now. Presentation at 5pm tonight. Dip will be bought imo but not one to put the house on. | babbler
30/11/2023 07:32 | Mortality got it right but I think there is a reasonable chance of longterm recovery. | amt
30/11/2023 07:31 | Good that they got the funding away earlier. Current Liabilities and borrowings are close to Current Assets so balance sheet taken a hit in the last few months but funding has helped a lot. | amt
30/11/2023 07:26 | Horror show results. | terminator101
29/11/2023 15:24 | Tommorow's results are going to look ugly. The 100% rally from the bottom was quite unjustified, and the market knows it. No-one wants to hold it into these results. | mortal1ty
13/11/2023 08:07 | A strong start to the week | z1co

09/11/2023 11:44 | You have read about Indian expansion here right? | babbler
09/11/2023 09:29 | I think most of the issues here are Disney massively cutting back streaming spend and look to make general cost cutting. The strike may have been a small contribution. Time will tell. | mortal1ty
09/11/2023 08:34 | Yeah hence my post below .. | babbler
09/11/2023 08:25 | From The Guardian... "Hollywood actors’ union reaches tentative deal with studios to end strike. Sag-Aftra union hails agreement of ‘extraordinary scope’ with Hollywood producers, bringing to a close historic work stoppage." | w13ken
09/11/2023 08:13 | Sag-Aftra said the strike would officially end on Thursday, with more details released following a meeting on Friday | babbler
07/11/2023 12:52 | Thanks Ken, hopefully those final few 'essential' issues will be resolved, and we'll get a bounce here. | maddox
07/11/2023 12:00 | From CNN Business a couple of hours ago... "SAG-AFTRA said it has responded to Hollywood studios’ “last, best & final offer” on Monday as pressure ramps up to reach a deal ending the industry-freezing strike. The actors’ union said in a message to its members that there are several “essential items” that the two sides have yet to reach agreement on, such as the use of AI. The union said every member of its negotiating committee “is determined to secure the right deal and thereby bring this strike to an end responsibly... It’s still not clear when a deal to end the nearly four-month-long strike will be reached, but the standoff has taken on heightened urgency in recent days as the two sides work to resolve the standoff in time to salvage the remainder of the winter television season." | w13ken
07/11/2023 11:16 | Anyone have an insight into where we are on the strike? 5 Nov Vanity reported 'The negotiating committee for the Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) is reportedly meeting today, for a conversation that could have far-reaching implications for the next year of entertainment. According to the actors’ union, which has been on strike since July 14, they’re considering a proposal from Hollywood’s major streamers and studios that the group says is its “last, best, and final offer.” If the actors accept it, the strike might end soon—and if they reject it, negotiations might end for the rest of the year.' | maddox
30/10/2023 14:33 | @74Tom - You missed out the first part of that comment. They were stating that other companies in the area offer those kind of wages, but the salaries at ZOO are much, much less. | jhpl89
27/10/2023 12:42 | It would appear that all parties are still talking, which I see as a good sign. | ih_357751
27/10/2023 10:04 | Yes, a great business derailed by outside forces. | amt
24/10/2023 09:50 | New York Times says that Actors and Studios to resume negotiations today. Tough time for Zoo through no fault of there own, it was good to see they increased the investment in their Turkish partner. | ih_357751
24/10/2023 09:05 | Markets do not look at finanacials as these are factored in already on previous news, albeit, a factored amount is usually marks down the price. Certainty that that strike issue is over and the company can see progress with some figures is what will drive the share price | sandeep67
24/10/2023 06:53 | Not a chance mortality, I said a few posts back I'd wait until the H1 results and see what the financials look like, at sub 20p it may be worth a punt if they've cut costs enough... | 74tom
23/10/2023 16:24 | You bought into this 7tom? Pretty brave ahead of what is going to read like a terrible H1. I appreciate the revenue number of known... but when people see the EBITDA loss it will be frightening. $20m H1. $20m H2. Roughly $40m in sales. That is c. £30m. So many companies are on 0.5x sales at the moment, I don't know this should be any different. Especially given its losses. £15m market-cap. Add back the £6m roughly in cash. That is £21m valuation. Got further to fall I would say. | mortal1ty
23/10/2023 09:49 | Glassdoor reviews are the ultimate in first world problems. The below sums it up; "offering salaries ranging from 35k to 55k, which makes it challenging to meet the cost of living and can leave employees feeling undervalued/exploite If you're living in the north of England / Sheffield and can't meet your cost of living when getting paid £17-26 an hour then you need to sort your life out. Utter nonsense. That's likely more than 90% of people in that area earn. Zoo have to do what they have to do to survive. Let's see how things look come 30th November & whether they give cost guidance. | 74tom |
