I think the prospects are excellent for Zirax.

I like the look of this company & just bought some & then some more into the Sipp.

Low market cap, profitable, strong demand for product, diversification from usual market & into new markets, cash in the bank.....etc

Its good that the bulletin board is quiet - means that the herd haven't cottoned on yet :)

and as for this global warming and freezing ice age winter conditions we keep hearing about.....well someone has to keep the roads to those ski slopes open and easy to access !

Even if OPEC latest claim of $200 a barrel is OTT by $50 in the near term. the Oil/gas rig drilling industry will continue to boom and take up every pellet ZRX can produce.

I can't really believe this is below its IPO price - they have delivered everything they said they would. Seeing comments like "Zirax's progress has been a little slower than hoped" does not help but I can only think that is in response to the 'delay' in getting the new plant up to fully operational.

If interims confirm that problem has gone maybe we will see this move in the right direction.

Finally found some cash to buy 25k @12p. The Interims 12 May should give a lift to the very depressed sp, a share gaining several 'Buy' reccs in the last 4-6 weeks.

volumes now down again last few days. I wonder if Pennygold have raised the cash they needed and stopped reducing their holding? Or maybe they are just pausing for breath!

Chief financial officer, Fenlon Dunphy, has bought
50,000 shares at 11.5p. Given that Zirax's progress has
been a little slower than hoped the share price has held
up quite well. Still a BUY UP TO 16p

For me there is definitely something going on. Maybe Pennygold are still selling, it it is, I just wish I knew when they were going to stop.

Just looked in this weeks Money Week,

Zirax (zrx) Margins are ahead of expectations at this chemical firm and pre-tax profits rose by 35% in 2007. A forward p/e of 5.5 makes the shares "dirt cheap" BUY.

Thank you WNW, lets hope its a profitable ride. CFO thinks so, and thats a good indication that all is well. Feel better when back to the 14p level and above. Could do well this year, lets hope so anyway.

Bought in today at a massive 12p, 24 odd k's worth. Well everywhere you read about these, they're cheap as chips, so had a punt.

Well another slight increase today. Volume down a lot though on last few days by my quick add up.

I too hope his investment is fruitful and am working on the basis that he would not throw his money away.

With hindsight it seems that a fall could have been for the comment that it took longer than anticipated to get the new plant up and running to full capacity. I hope that's all it was because they are still shifting a lot of product and the more they have available to sell the better it seems to me.

I'll never criticise any director who sticks his hand in his pocket and his money where his mouth is but at that level does it constitute a show of faith or just "good form". In any event, and from pure cynical self interest, may his investment be fruitful.

It is the only 5 grands worth he has got. Has options at 15p that can start exercising Jun 08 according to the Annual report so he has taken advantage of a lower price.

I could not see his salary individually listed in the Annual report so can't say if £5,000 is completely peanuts or not. He did not get them cheap though did he? - I don't have level 2 but 11.5p is higher than the price at the start of the day - what made him come out this afternoon after the price had risen from about 10.75p to 11.5p and buy them this afternoon after the rise?

I just have a feeling that something is going on - maybe it is just that there has been a seller depressing the price but the increased volume last two days and now throw in a director buying - I have been considering topping up and maybe this was the last thing I needed to persuade me.
