26/10/2011 06:10 | Whilst Zen probably won't get a firm order until the scaled up version is ready it may get a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) outlining the size of an order, subject to final tests/construction. I suspect there are several countries and companies taking an interest in Zen's recent positive trial...hope so! | errollc
25/10/2011 23:21 | SuperN, Having had a closer look at the presentation I have changed my mind. It looks like the tests carried out were of the HTS MFCL post repair and hence why it states 'MFCL accepted by client', the client being Applied Superconductor Limited. | ![]() dcroston
25/10/2011 23:10 | orcp - Pskistan is in dire need of energy. ORCP has great potential but may take a while to see the gains. | ![]() ayesha4
25/10/2011 22:54 | ayesha4 - je, o/t what you think of orcp, i know you held gcm a while ago | ![]() ireminisces

25/10/2011 22:36 | I dont think anyone can argue this is anywhere near fair value. My point today simply was with the buying and selling at the time, it had reached the high of the day. Which it had. | ![]() ayesha4
25/10/2011 22:20 | dcroston - until I find (or you give me) evidence to the contrary, I'll believe the pdf deals only with testing of the hts fcl. What happens in the future, we'll see. | ![]() supernumerary
25/10/2011 22:17 | I think this will still go up despite your doubts supernumeray. Valued at just over cash with some pretty decent ip. | ![]() ayesha4
25/10/2011 21:59 | Super, The HTS MFCL was mothballed a while back because it was just too expensive to make. The September testing was on the copper magnet FCL as confirmed by the recent RNS. I would agree that the focus is on the completion of the full scale demo model MFCL and I would be very surprised if any sales are made prior to the completion of that full scale demo model. | ![]() dcroston
25/10/2011 21:17 | well played zen. | ![]() ireminisces
25/10/2011 20:11 | dcroston - I'll take your word for it, although it's certainly not made clear in the pdf that this is the case and I can't find any reference to a non-HTS design, although I freely admit I'm no electronic engineer. Can you point me to it? | ![]() supernumerary
25/10/2011 20:05 | jb2 - I haven't a clue. Why is zen's fcl better than theirs: for instance? Does zen have any protectable ip in this area? Or did it go into administration in Germany? In any event it looks like technology that the ABBs of this world can replicate if they so choose. I do think there's a lot of ramping going on here. I don't see any chance of zen getting an order for multiple fcls in the short term. First they have to build the full size device. Then they have to persuade a customer to pay for and test it. Then they have to prove they can manufacture and support reasonable quantities of the devices, which given they've only got peanuts to play with is not going to be easy. A much simpler business model, but still a lot of unknowns. | ![]() supernumerary
25/10/2011 19:39 | SuperNumeracy, Just to clarify, the tests conducted recently on the Copper MFCL are shown alongside the HTS MFCL towards the end of the presentation. | ![]() dcroston
25/10/2011 18:23 | "Sounds like my kind of meeting..." Nice one Centurian like it, like it. | ![]() jenny tulwought

25/10/2011 17:30 | Dunc What happened to that sleep you were supposed to be taking? Sleeping at tomorrow's meeting is a definite no-no. Matron will be there...stick in hand. HGW | hugh g wrection
25/10/2011 17:28 | super. there appears to be a lot going on. as well as meeting prvious orders, they are developing new cheaper designs MFCL's. All bodes well for the near term and future?? | ![]() joeblogg2
25/10/2011 17:20 | I think you'll find it's this: as referred to in the recent announcement: 'The production and testing of an 11kv superconducting MFCL unit, (whose sale was originally announced last year), has now been completed. Fulfilment of this contract will result in Zenergy receiving £500,000 of cash net of costs.' | ![]() supernumerary
25/10/2011 16:56 | I don't think that 's correct Super.I think it is the current proposed one and if not brilliant as this only means we are leading the way on both prototypes. | duncandisorderly
25/10/2011 16:50 | I don't think you can read too much into the test results - that's an HTS FCL, not the same as the current/proposed one. | ![]() supernumerary
25/10/2011 16:36 | Lets hope so warwick. Can the units be used currently without scaling up for lower power grids ? | ![]() joeblogg2
25/10/2011 16:31 | final top up of the day at 10p think i will look back at this in a few months and wonder how was i so lucky to be able to buy so many so cheaply??? IMHO | ![]() warwick69
25/10/2011 16:29 | Lots of pretty pictures Joe,it certainly looks the part. | duncandisorderly |
