04/5/2017 12:05 | Granny, This is a Standard Listing, so not exactly 'main market', IMO. A Standard Listing is akin to AIM, again IMO, the only difference is you don't need a NOMAD I believe. So I'm not surprised by the AIM mentality here, it's just the same really, a coin flip whether it's positive or negative, hence the nervous posts. | andy
04/5/2017 12:03 | What were they doing from the 18/4?..They stated that when they got to the bottom of M-195 they had encountered some debris and they had removed some but more couldn't be removed, so it was then decided that the sidetrack would be drilled. The well needed plugging, then a window cut and the sidetrack would be drilled 100m, that shouldn't be taking over two weeks, we are being taken for fools. | grannyboy
04/5/2017 11:54 | Some reports I have seen in other parts of the world, such as Farmington NM, a well was drilled there, through loosely consolidated sandstone to 10k feet in six days. formation, mud weight, drill bit and whether shallow or deep will impact on time taken to drill. | sea7
04/5/2017 11:47 | zengas, True, drilling depth per day is dependent on conditions. Some drills have hit 100m a day in soft ground, whereas in more complicated conditions, drills have only managed 1-2 metres a day. They will not be rushing this. | sea7
04/5/2017 11:41 | M-195 couldn't have been completed last week - Last update was 1st May opening sidetrack window - so allowing a day to open that, they should be drilling this 100m section now - could take a day or two or over a week depending on conditions at that level. A small section, but at 3,000m depth the last 100m might be slow/careful given temperature/pressure at this depth. The bridge plug was set on April 26th 6 days previous so it will have taken some days to be ready before moving to what was happening on the 1st May. Given it's a new section, the number of perforations this time around could make a difference to production rates ? On M-45 (started 19th April) they had to fish out an additional 162m of tubing. The May 1st pic confirmed that was where they were at. Is it though one continuous 162m section? If problematic would/could they sidetrack as M-195 ? If they have gotten that out, then i'd be looking out for any pics/news on Twitter very soon that they were carrying out the perforations. | zengas
04/5/2017 11:36 | I was under the false premise that with these being on the main market, and rampers reminding us of that fact, and that they wern't, and didn't have an AIM mentality... Well news flow and delays have proved that there is no difference to these then any AIM company.. | grannyboy
04/5/2017 11:35 | I think they should have started with an easy well. It wouldn`t have had such a high yield but it would have been quicker and cheaper and produce more revenue sooner. Price looks like sinking until good (if it is good) news eventually arrives. | tyranosaurus
04/5/2017 11:30 | Fair play...hold on ppl...ZEN has better potential.I'm am pretty sure the CEO will deliver. Has done a lot of talking and twitter updating.Needs to deliver now. Well195 update due very soon imoInvestors should note, the first well is meant to be the most challenging yet highest yield according to the broker notes. If ZEN delivers, correction due straight away! | ravin146
04/5/2017 11:23 | Ravin146 long never shorted and under water | fatfish
04/5/2017 11:20 | workovers start on 8th may at AAOG then you have the big $750m prize drill in JULY. | timw3
04/5/2017 11:18 | told you lot AAOG offered a better opportunity and risk/reward. glad i sold this at 13p | timw3
04/5/2017 11:14 | Your not the only one under water, and i've no intention of buying anymore until those in charge have proven themselves. I still believe the M-195 well should have been completed last week, and should by now be flowing oil, and flow rates established.. Instead we've got the share price dripping lower... | grannyboy
04/5/2017 10:43 | If they cannot deliver from the sidetrack, some serious questions need to be asked. It has taken quite some time now. I wonder how much this first workover is actually going to cost? Cash | cashandcard
04/5/2017 10:35 | must admit, not too happy with this price, im now underwater! | currypasty
04/5/2017 09:58 | Fatfish are you long or short here? | ravin146
04/5/2017 09:43 | yep true, sells as well.!!! pug All that history is there for anyone who wants to read it and this is not disputed. I would think andrea will have learned from any mistakes and moved on. Time will tell. He may have all these plans, however, he may simply be looking to prove it up to the 1000bbl/d and then sell it on. We do not know for sure. | sea7
04/5/2017 09:26 | sea7:> re 1665 Or sells as the case may be - or may already be. re 1664:. Very true but in this case I would suggest for all his bearish points 11Smith has revealed some interesting history about management and (reading between the lines) an apparent failure either in respect of execution or drafting participation agreements. Possible analogy taking a lease without a break clause - e.g.: EU and Medicines Agency. | pugugly
04/5/2017 08:47 | from the point of view of the shareprice and sentiment, This is following all the usual attributes of a junior O and G company about to announce news from the drill bit. Fear selling takes place and the downward spiral of the shareprice starts, more selling, more downward ticks on the share price This trend will not change until we get news from the drill or it proves to be a leaky ship and large buys show up. | sea7
04/5/2017 08:35 | It would appear that under the canoel name they tried getting things going in Norway, assisted in Zambia, argentina, Russia, Mongolia and one or two other places. They gave up on all of it, as it wasn't panning out by the looks of it. Wouldn't be the first time someone has thrown the towel in and moved on. The only positive here is that they recognized they were not going to get anywhere, have walked away and changed the name of the company and moved on. Moving to a London listing is a step change which makes the company more visible. Whilst past failures are there and this track record, will impact the views of some potential investors, I have seen a fair few junior companys with people on the BOD who have significant success behind them, with lowly valuations - fastnet oil and gas were one, which had the cove energy guys involved - it went nowhere and is now a pharma company. (I traded that at below cash level, it had no production and I was out at a profit, when the share price moved to nearly cash level - it was and still is an aim company) I still have an unlisted interest in the hydrocarbon assets which were hived off into a separate entity, just because I held the stock at a certain date. So a possible return if they eventually sell them on top of the profit made from the shares. A track record of success is no guarantee of a continuation and a track record of failings is also no guarantee of a continuation. We must focus on the assets at hand and the progress being made. The past is not a guarantee of the future. What Andrea and the company do in the present, will determine the future and not the past incarnations of this company. I do not see anything hanging over from the Canoel days, so it shouldn't have any bearing on the job at hand. | sea7

03/5/2017 22:59 | Agree, HC.The likes of sea7 etc are not helping themselves by replying. Those that reply are just as bad imo.11yearoldSmith has LOST money in the past, maybe American/Canadian- based on time of posts, fool who is disgruntled.IGNORE or FILTER 11yearoldSmith...sto | ravin146
03/5/2017 22:48 | Can no one reply to 11smith. And fuel his fire. Getting tired of the spill now. Wait for updates and go on the facts then. There's no reason why the share price has fallen besides the late WO flow rates. We no why there late they have been honest and I think the sidetrack will gain much better results anyway but that's a calculated guess and feeling. It' goes without saying 11smith is shorting this but to try and deramp a share on a BB board when your shorting shows he doesn't really have much conviction in his decision | honestcrook
03/5/2017 22:26 | It is not 100% clear what happened at the end of the Mongolian venture. The matter dragged on for years and the last news I can find was that Canoel were considering legal action against another company they had an agreement with and alleged the other party was in breach of contract. However, the other party contended that it was Canoel who had broken the contract. It seems Canoel decided not to pursue the matter and there was no further news. /////// So, do you think this start in business and developments subsequently are the reason for the current Zenith Energy valuation? Or is the company under-valued due to the performance of the TSX.V index? | 11smith |
