12/2/2019 10:56 | Hi all, Things are hotting up on the C-B / IMF debt talks front, with some 'heavy guns' being brought in to assist with the negotiations : Disgraced former head of the IMF, Dominique Strauss-Kahn (aka DSK) is reportedly advising C-B on its stalled debt negotiations with the IMF.... See hxxp://sacer-infos.c According to the article, his Moroccan-based consultancy Parnasse is involved, together with Mathieu Pigasse, a Lazard investment banker and part-owner of Le Monde (in which Denis Nguesso supposedly has a stake). Pigasse's uncle Jean-Paul Pigasse is owner of ADIAC, the Congo-based news service that is also supposedly a front for Nguesso's interests. One of the likely reasons for the IMF's caution in its current negotiations with C-B is the unfortunate coincidence that another of its former employees Yahya Musa is reported to have mislead his masters about the level of C-B debt a few years back, when he was the IMF regional representative for which he was allegedly rewarded with oil concessions see hxxps://www.globalwi All in all, it'll be interesting to see how the IMF proceeds with this particularly hot potato ! 12/2/2019 10:52 | Hi aja5, You clearly didn't read …"As to what GLEN might be willing to do, there's a gamut of possibilities, from buyer's strike to pick up on the cheap right through to a 'generous' valuation. What seems clear is that ZIOC is a price taker, not a price maker. HTH and ATB | extrader
11/2/2019 09:30 | Using your logic a multi billion £ company “Glencore̶ Equally all their investment is almost worthless and they must accept a bid for said resource for something around the Zioc share price and forget the millions invested and all the time to get where they are! Glencore half although equal+1share is more valuable than Ziocs half because ?? There is no need to argue against your NO off take agreements are available NO traditional methods of bank financing and NO forward selling of the product via the newly created derivatives contracts by Glencore for 65%+ iron ore pellets...... Add to that the share price will definitely stay where it is irrelevant of any information/updates so the dilution would be at its highest....umm. I would say with an equal partner like Glencore this project should have an higher value than the rest but what would I know. Then you have forgotten the fact that the Gov could hand the operational control to a third party by exercising the 10% call to anyone Zioc May sell to meaning the new company could control 55% and make Glencore the junior partner! If your invested you shouldn’t be......I have never know anyone talk down their investment quite like you do,on that basis you are either short or a paid deramper!! | aja5
11/2/2019 08:58 | Hi aja5, I guess you don't have a reasoned counter-argument, then ;-> ! ATB | extrader
28/1/2019 19:49 | Fully agree re price taker - | pugugly
28/1/2019 18:43 | Hi Pugugly, ZIOC have 50% less 1 share of the concession, less than 10% free float (IIRC) and no means of raising capital to fund their participation in any meaningful project finance requirement without massive dilution. So it seems they'll have to sell down for a 'free carry' or sell out altogether, either way why do it in the full glare of publicity if you can do it 'off stage' and much more discreetly, with all the attendant benefits ? As to what GLEN might be willing to do, there's a gamut of possibilities, from buyer's strike to pick up on the cheap right through to a 'generous' valuation. What seems clear is that ZIOC is a price taker, not a price maker. ATB | extrader
28/1/2019 18:04 | Extrader - Unlikely (imo) Are not Glencore still the major holder of the concession? OK by just one share - If there was any taking out to be done - or any value in the deposit would not Glen bid current valuation plus say 5%+ to consolidate - or was this what you were implying? No longer holding having sold back in september 2013 for a small profit - If still holding would now be at a BIG LOSS. | pugugly
