as per today's announcement the company will start buying back the shares, seems directors are on top of things here and diffinetly they see much higher value of the company, seems they can spare some cash from selling Zamanita to buy back Zambeef shares, bodes well...

It would be up if it was not for some uncrossing yesterday above the quote at the close. I was thinking of cutting a loss but now it looks much better just shows how things can change in a hour or two.

ZAM has not risen because everybody using these bb's sees 21twitter pumping it under 21trader and avoids it like the plague. I often refuse to buy stocks pumped on this thread but overall it has saved me a fortune or my living :-))

https://www.daily-mail.co.zm/?p=23130Zambia Daily MailCHAPADONGO LUNGU, MpongweSIX silos tower into the sky, packed to the brim with wheat and maize.Adjacent to the 60,000 metric tonnes capacity silos is a heavy duty equipment workshop with state-of-the-art, yes, state-of-the-art machinery Zambeef uses to cultivate crops at the farm which sits on an expanse of loam soils in Mpongwe.A lush of greens extends far beyond the eye's natural ability. It's soyabean covering about 10,700 hectares, with centre pivots spread across the farm. This is but only one of the five farms Zambeef owns in Zambia and only a part of the three subdivisions of Mpongwe Farms."Our motto is 'Feeding the Nation', and that's exactly what we are and that's exactly what we are doing," general manager Mike Lovett at Mpongwe Farms run by Zambeef. The farm, which has been running from 1978 under different ownership, is one of the biggest not only on the Copperbelt but in Zambia and employs over 450 workers on permanent basis.Zambeef took over the reins in 2011, growing maize, soyabean and wheat on a large scale, with Lovett projecting even better times in seasons to come.Perusing record books, Lovett gives statistics about the 2014 yield on all the five farms, with a maize tonnage of 26,000 and 39,000 of soyabean in summer.SUMMER YIELDS• 26,000 tonnes (maize)• 39,000 tonnes (soyabean)• 12,000 tonnes (silage for cattle)•  6,000 tonnes (pasture)WINTER YIELDS• 48,000 tonnes (wheat)•  8,000 tonnes (maize)•  2,500 tonnes (barley)•  1,000 tonnes (Lucerne)Mpongwe Farms is split into three farms – Nampamba, Chambatata and Kampemba, all contributing to the food security in neibghbouring communities and the country."Our yields have surpassed all previous owners. This takes a complete team effort to achieve this," Lovett says about a farm he proudly says belongs to Zambians."We're not talking about selling this farm, we're talking about developing it and producing more for Zambians," he says about the farm previously owned by ZIMCO/Londell-Mills, CDC and Eastern Trading Company. To demonstrate this, 2,000 hactares of jatropha is being cleared to grow more crops.Workshop manager Abel Mukao says the farm has various pieces of equipment – 10 combined harvesters each with a grain capacity of 10 tonnes. To plough the huge tracks of land, Mukao says there are 25 tractors.Beyond the core business, Mpongwe Farms are empowering communities around with huge corporate social investments in education, health and road sector.Just at the entrance of the farm is a health centre, which provides heathcare services to employees and people within the community. The clinic, which has 14 members of staff, is the pride of the farm."I will fight to keep it in good shape. I am happy that we have a committed staff," he says about the clinic whose annual budget is K615,000.It does not run the clinic in isolation as Government chips in to provide some essential drugs. The farm also provides nutritional support to Mpongwe Mission Hospital, where it supplies 40 bags of mealie-meal and 25 chickens on a monthly basis."We also help in child immunity programmes," Lovett says.On the southern end of the farm is a school with about 330 pupils, which is wholly run by the farm.Lovett says to demonstrate its love for its employees, the farm ensures that 80 percent of the pupils at the school belong to the workers."Priority is given to children and dependants of our employees and then the immediate neighbours and the community," says Lovett. The eight-classroom school fully funded by Zambeef runs from grade one to grade nine.Lovett says as a good corporate citizen, the farm also maintains a stretch of eight kilometres of council roads.
