I guess share price action albeit disappointing, can only be expected after such a huge rise. Fundamentally the company is in great shape and more than likely by feb we will all see this as just a blip along the road to riches.

So £5b support down from £18bCouple with the fact gas has halved and is now less than before Ukraine. Now think about this and with so many on variable rates and not on contract expect a stampede to lock in over spring.Because if I owned a business that is what I would be thinking about right now 187 per therm down from over 350 in dec.

Yep but we still do not know the details either way with the fall in prices and the discount should be cost neutral to users

The price cap is coming to an end and will be replaced with a discount to the wholesale rate

Going to get this as people have sold in the 500p bracket and looking to get back in a lot lower prior to trading update.Nature of the game which is a tad annoying but we have been through this many times My predication still stands 1000p minimum in 2023 , lots of ups and down along the way. It direction is very clear and YU is now on a lot of radars

Only a seller would bring in bad debt and also use premature for a stated dividend consideration imho.
If you're in the ball-park with bad debt being a lot lower, the dividend is nailed on and could be heftier than originally planned.

Back where we where last Monday. Can't complain. Just need that trading update so people who spout on about bad debt can be put to bed Bad debt is misleading in my mind yes it will exists but YU are very strict on who they contract with therefore I expect it will be nowhere near the 7.7% indicated by Librium.I reckon it will be normal 3% give or take 0.5% therefore massive upside potential on the FY figures if I am correct.2023 outlook will also be telling which again will be very bullish

Premature? They have stated they are actively considering a progressive one in the previous update...

From RNS 27/9/22:-
''· Group remains well capitalised with strong cash position at £15.7m (H1 2021: £11.5m). Reflecting confidence in the ongoing performance of the Group, the Board is actively considering the introduction of a progressive dividend to be confirmed at the Company's full year results, with capital allocation being balanced against the growth opportunities presented to the Group.''

The shares have had a great run up from around £2 so, not surprised if going to be abit of a pullback, the next 6/12 months could be telling with the removal of the price cap for business from the 1st of April. Watch this space and see if profits can withstand a big jump up in bad debts over next 12 months as businesses go to the wall. Flip side turnover should increase over next 12 months it's going to be an incredibly tuff period for Yu over next 12 months but, if they come thro it, then the sky is literally the limit. Any talk re dividends I believe is premature. Seagull

Remember logistics and raw materials are big part of retailers costsLogistics and commodity price are coming down worldwide China has opened inflation is peaked retailers have seen the worse once they start reporting costs deflation I reckon retailers with strong balance sheets would see their shares breakout from current consolidation phase

Like Friday people chasing the wild stocks like THG as they see value as driven so low through 2022.2023 is going to a lot tougher than 2022 for highflying loss making tech stocks and retailers like BOO.Happy here thanks and very much looking forward to 2023
