PalNot 30 posts, you can't count. If your pet little pip boy and your other sheep would stay in their pen then I'd post less. |
He was very very busy yesterday must have been 30 posts on a Sunday, ask yourself why knowing he is a traders.I actually do not mind talking about bad debt, covenants etc but you can't have a conversion when the eyes are just in YU Example revenue, yes they missed by 3%, but in the bigger sector rivals revenues got slammed by huge amounts yet YU the only one who improved and not by a small margin 40% If people are blind to this so be it and sell but it tells me a different story, YU thrived compared to all rivals |
Interesting the rise in energy continues unabated 139p a therm now for gas storage levels critical in the UK and record lows across Europe 51% v 69% this time last year.2025 turning out to be a bumper for new contract prices and renewals |
Sad stalker :) |
Sp down about 20% since the last TU. After the July TU it fell 30% before it recovered. March next update is over a month away so may keep drifting down. Market sentiment generally isn't brilliant atm. Who knows though. |
Earnings growth falling fast as the cost of energy has declined:FY23 eps growth 547%FY24 eps growth 16%FY25e eps growth 7.5%Costs increasing and bottom line margins reducing. When energy normalises, whenever that may be (FY25?, FY26?) they will struggle to make a profit IMO. |
Premier Miton closing the MINI fund fished a couple of weeks ago that that is history bear have taken advantage of this and the worm will turn soon enough |
Wonder if we will hit 150p a therm on gas next week ? Might help the like of GOOD, TEP, CNA, Smartest and Utilitia increase turnover in 2025As YU the only one who managed it by 40% in 2024 so imagine what 2025 will be ? Bear pushed YU share price to a stupidly low, valuation as sector average 14.3 and YU is half that |
From next door:"Delivery of FY24 EBITDA margin forecasted above expectations driven by strong contract profitability in H2 24, robust hedging policy and tightly managed bad"What about pbt? Why didn't they update on bottom line earnings?, They had the opportunity one would think based on what they said to stress "pbt and eps is expected to be slightly ahead of forecasts". But they didn't which added additional uncertainty to the market. Both brokers / analysts are paid by the company in one form or another and past history demonstrated that firecasts can be wrong!.Robust hedging - wouldn't expect them to say anything different!. As for bad debt, provision is nearly as much as forecast pbt. |
From next door:? FY24 revenues grew c.40% and are expected to be approaching ?650m (FY23: ?460m).Revenue was forecast to grow by 50%, and H2 was forecast to grow 40%, it was only half that forecast growth. So what happened in H2 FY24?.Gas spot for the year was only down c 17%, energy supplied was up 78% but rev increase didn't align with that data!. |
From next door:· Net cash position of £80.2m (FY23: £32.1m). That's after FY and interim dividends, 4m share buy back and £9m pre paid 2025 ROC Net cash less collateral down c £2m. The div and BB was from the £12m capital recovery. £9m ROC will still leave about £30m?, which is about £8m more than FY23. |
Not one company in the sector has pumped out a performance like YU. Strong rebound imminently and the lower it may go the stronger and under volume when it rapidly turns.Bargain is hunters will be all over it, this isn't on some starship enterprise PE of 25-30 it's 7 |
Yappy spaniel - takes pleasure in seeing JohnDoes money decline at W7L.A pretty nasty person IMO :) |
I have been on ADVFN for almost 25 years and posted 6.5k times with nearly 30 followers. Tonto next door nearly 5k post in 16 months with the grand total of 3 following him. Still his filter list is well above most on here one would suspect. What a very strange individual who probably is shirtless if we take Warpaint into consideration. |
Nasty
“Next door neighbour just taken a hit over on Warpaint, oh what a shame!” |
88k meter points for FY24. Thought the ramper was calling for 100k, not 100k for Q1 FY25.Net cash excluding collateral down, bookings down, Rev below forecasts but by how much?, is it £644m or what?, and why didn't you tell the market that pbt will be ahead?, strange not to say. The market hates uncertainty and the TU didn't exactly provide clarity IMO, hence the share price drop (which was sell on news, not too good news!). |
Put it into context only a few years ago it's was 18k. That's over a five fold increase just like turnover. Never mind profit up 30 fold. |
I have never known anything like it. Anyway a few weeks into 2025 and maybe in a couple off weeks maybe end of Feb and RNS saying 100,000 meter points ?Now would that be novel, TEP did it at 1m but then again YU don't like releasing good PR news even when a great opportunity like that presents itself.A bit naive if they don't as it a big milestone and also lets investors know how many new contracts signed at high levels not seen since early 2023. |
