13/9/2021 11:09 | It will soon get going again when the next contract drops, could be any day now! Covid is just a very nice sideline income stream they should make the most of whilst it lasts. In meantime LR will work his way deep into govt tenders and procurement for contracts post covid. That's the plan folks! Oh! and Ygen do a good line of Nipt and Dpyd products too! Doing very well in the US I hear. Big blue chip players to be announced in the near term and one of them changing over to Ygen in Oct this year. | hjb1
13/9/2021 10:42 | No I haven'tI posted the concluding point rather than the full post. If that's out of context that's worth a mention but I don't think it is. The emphasise was on no worries but rather it will hit testing volumes hard and as usual poster sought to incorrectly minimise the core take away from the headline issue unlike the share price which dropped. | twix386
13/9/2021 09:44 | People forget the £34m contract is not travel related. Govt contracts will likely take up any slack seen with travel. In fact the govt work might well mean they don't need any travel input. | birdie12
13/9/2021 09:25 | Birdie12 That's our play and hope the science will reverse this plan before it gets implemented imv. Here's hoping | twix386
13/9/2021 09:04 | How do they check for variants if they stop pcr testing? | birdie12
13/9/2021 08:56 | The talk was for imminent school break/ half term. Anyway it's not confirmed yet and hopeful it may be reversed by science advice. It is though a typical hicupp and await the next one as always. Let's hope we stabilise here and recover. Best of all that this silly idea is not confirmed. | twix386
13/9/2021 08:52 | The govt have only stated the obvious that they want to stop testing when they can. That might be 6 months or more yet. | birdie12
13/9/2021 08:32 | Looking at MHC....What a car crash this news has caused there where it impacts much more of course and the real meaning of news reflected for them. Down over 30%.At least not core for us. However the updating of our Revenue forecast to include covid that was mentioned....well perhaps going forward that's a job that may now not be material.Hiccup | twix386
11/9/2021 11:52 | it was a surge compared to GDR!! Anyway it's done 32% over the last month so not too shabby. I expect there will be a few more 'surges' in the coming weeks too! Don't forget the 4 big big US companies to be announced anytime soon. | hjb1
11/9/2021 11:14 | if 1p is a surge then i suggest we all manage our expectations here. | the monkster
11/9/2021 09:35 | Small mention in the Mail… Yourgene Health surged 6.4 per cent, or 1p, to 16.75p after it signed a £34m contract with the Department of Health and Social Care to support the Government's Covid19 testing programme through its lab in Manchester. | techno20
10/9/2021 13:29 | I view this as just a stepping stone into the heart of govt contracts going forward. If as we expect they perform then this will bode very well for the future well beyond covid. As already mentioned, I doubt they will have any problems with payment considering the very detailed tender process. | hjb1
10/9/2021 12:56 | Yes, but NCYT's contracts were the early emergency / panic / give them to your mates at any price ones. Ours have gone through the full framework application and tender process and the award will no doubt have been made much more carefully this time! | ikeadave
10/9/2021 12:49 | No payment dates were described. YGEN would need to be very careful with DHSC as they are good for cost cutting based upon NCYT experience. Their payment is in dispute. | maxplus2
10/9/2021 12:47 | Agreed, no guarantees, but even a quarter of that £34m in 2.5 months, on top of core business and the various covid travel lines of business including MHC / Boots etc could result in a £15m+ revenue quarter, compared to £18m for the whole of last year… | ikeadave
10/9/2021 12:28 | From rnsThe final contract notice value of GBP34m is the maximum estimated value of the contract. Actual value will depend on services purchased and there is no committed spend under the contract. However, the Company confirms that samples are already being processed as part of the contract. So there is no guarantee they will get GBP34m. It could be less which is highly probable based upon NCYT experience. | maxplus2
10/9/2021 09:53 | Due to obvious upside across all aspects of the business. | timojelly
10/9/2021 09:46 | Sp only going one way here. Load up. I can honestly see this doubling in short order. | timojelly
10/9/2021 07:40 | Previously announced: ยท Q1 revenues (end of June 21) over £6m, up 80% vs. Q1 FY20, driven by Covid-related services and product sales as the UK reopens. Since end of Q2 : DHSC contract secured to support COVID-19 surge testing As previously announced, the contract is the first to come from the National Microbiology Framework Lot wins announced earlier this year, using Yourgene's high throughput automated COVID-19 services testing laboratory in Citylabs 1.0, Manchester. The final contract notice value of £34m is the maximum estimated value of the contract. Actual value will depend on services purchased and there is no committed spend under the contract. However, the Company confirms that samples are already being processed as part of the contrac Q1 revs of over £6m up 80% on previous year , anyone's guess how much subsequent quarters will be up Yourgene will provide an update for shareholders on first half trading on the morning of the Annual General Meeting due to take place on Tuesday 28 September 2021. Would expect at that time YGEN to announce trading above management expectations. | cottoner
10/9/2021 07:15 | Thanks for the details .... as seen then the RNS is out this morning .... | livewireplus |
