Sunday Roast is another name for Brains of Toast. They don't (can't - haven't got the knowledge to) ask the right questions. They're paid to keep the yarn spinning.

Good to see the share price making a modest recovery. Let's just hope for positive news to sustain and justify it.

Bird was asked about a placing, his reply it would only be for a acquisition, he then went on to discuss how many projects were available.

Why is it these AIM CEO's seem obsessed about new projects surely XTR have enough.

Is a placing likely, after listening to that podcast yes, the share price recent decline is a warning signal.

The Sunday Roast 2/7/2023

Phil Carroll and Kevin Hornsby talk to Mark Routh after the recent Selva update. Colin Bird guests and talks all things African Pioneer, Galileo Resources and Xtract Resources. Oliver Friesen talks all things tungsten at Pilot Mountain and the recent US zero-dilution grant funding. Shaun Day, MD of Greatland Gold talks about the recent drill results and progress at Paterson plus the lads also give a round up of the week’s news both home and away, talk markets and “bargain of the week” in the season finale.

I wouldn't like to have a stab as I haven't properly tried to follow the trading results, only really bought in for BR, however in my opinion and experience, companies don't leave it until the very last minute if they've got great results to display.

papillon ..... I've made plenty from XTR swing trading but every time I try another company like WSBN I loose . Now that's a company I've lost twice with but luckily for me XTR always redeems my loses . From the Jan nelson days when the share price spiked from 0.07p /share to 0.49p /share over a seven week period ( prior to the 200:1 consolidation )after the release of an RNS stating a 10 fold increase in gold grades from outcrop reefs ... all Market Maker doings to get a placing away since the outcrop reefs were to small to call good news but that's how XTR have rolled . I never liked the Racecourse Prospect but that could be the next driver of yet another huge spike . Having already referred back to the Jan Nelson days and the reason for the spike back then if a placing was needed I'm sure the MM's would oblige Mr. Bird with a similar act since that placing money would cement Racecourse future and of course XTR potential in a way the company has never seen before . Alas I picked up shares on Wednesday for the Fair brides Q2 results which should give XTR a nice cash boost minimising the requirements of a placing but there you go the volume over the last week was enough to get me interested .

I'm not a share trader, SwingBySome. Far too old to be doing that, I'm afraid.
I follow the charts (volume is a good chart indicator by the way) of certain commodities and a few shares, XTR being one of those since I held XTR until around a year ago (in fact it was the only share I held for a time). I sold because the chart went bearish. I also follow the charts of both gold & Copper.
I follow my charts because of past losses (basically gambling, without too much success, on AIM listed O&G exploration shares) when I didn't follow charts.
I'm bullish on gold as my gold charts went long term bullish at the start of 2023. My main holding is GPM. I also hold HUM, SHG, & RSG. I've also had a small punt on KEFI after the big drop on the placing this week. I did hold ALTN, AAZ & CMCL, but sold them when their charts turned bearish.
I do expect gold to make new all time highs in 2023 & 2024 because of the global economic situation. It hasn't happened yet, but I'm patient.

PS investors set Mkt Caps. At this moment in time investors are not interested in buying XTR shares, not even pump & dump traders.

papillon ...I enjoy reading your posts since your obviously an experienced trader / investor unlike some who post on this chat site . With regards to my position with XTR I sensed with increased buying volume on Wednesday that we were near or even at the bottom of the retrace . I picked up enough at 1.50p /share to sit back and relax knowing it could go lower but maybe not . Generally speaking Friday would have been my preferred buying day but volume was there on Wednesday indicating those in the know were taking positions . With Volume being low today and the Market Makers raising the ask to 1.525p /share you could say I was lucky alas if the MM's have another large order to fill they may have to raise if further , quicker than I could have get a foot in the door had I waited for Friday . Hum ...... XTR have profits coming in from Mozambique , fair brides 100% wholly owned mine through sub-contractors and a collaboration agreement with Mutapa Mining and Processing LDA, thereby mitigating any execution risk to Xtract. Which in my opinion is often forgotten , overlooked by those who are forever yapping on about the Bushranger Project in central New South Wales , Australia . After all XTR has a Market Cap of approx £13.5 million which is determined by the Market Makers who often don't set Market Caps of companies by their fundamental value but being a revenue producer XTR in my opinion is way under valued regardless of what the charts say even if I consider them when trading .

XTR Ichimoku chart showing the 14 day RSI

SwingBySome appears to have bought XTR when it was oversold (RSI < 30) and the RSI then started to rise and sold when it was overbought (RSI > 70) and the RSI then started to fall. This is what traders often do. It doesn't always work, but it often does.

from your posting history today I certainly won't be taking any tips / friendly advice from you . If you can't follow the trend or understand the AIM market principle of buying low , selling high after 15 years you'll never get it .
Follow the peaks and troughs if you think that harsh and here's a typical example of what I mean .
On 27th March 23 , I bought XTR shares at 1.40p /share . On 21st April 23 , sold XTR shares at 2.31p /share .
Aim shares with income are few and far between hence your either holding knowing this or trying to buy XTR shares as low as you possibly can by off putting others after selling at the most recent peak .

Twinkle...AMC...held a Nickel Asset in Russia which it managed to sell....for far less than it's true value...but getting something out of that environment was probably a result. They will be paying the bulk of the cash out as a divi in mid june then will be a cash shell ($3-$5m I think) looking for acquisitions. It went Ex-Divi yesterday so tread very carefully. I lost 50% as I bought in as a complete punt just before Russia invaded Ukraine, Had they not, then it may have been a winner...but the back story is as per my earlier email of constant placings, eroding SH value. Hope that helps.
Paps, given my reverse midas touch, KEFI will likely be a multi bagger if I stay away from it.

I've just had a tiny punt on KEFI, chris cat, as it could turn out to be a profitable punt at sub 0.7p.
Regarding XTR it's probably worth a punt at the current sp, though the share price could fall further in the short term.

Both the KEFI & XTR charts are currently bearish.

PS I'm very bullish on gold as my gold price charts are strongly bullish and have been since the start of 2023. In fact the gold price performance since the start of 2023 is reminiscent of the gold price performance from the start of 2019. Then the gold price went from around $1200 to peak at over $2000 in mid 2020. History has a habit of repeating itself.

Hi Twinkle, I have promised myself that I will never invest in AIM again. Simply too many lifestyle companies for Directors, I know its high risk, high reward but I have had nothing but pain for 15 years, so will stick to Roulette at the Casino rather than AIM. Some guys on the AMC board (another of my disasters) are punting KEFI...I took one look and felt it had potential but had all of the hallmarks of my other AIM failures so will be staying well clear.

Twinkle.....it all makes perfect sense, unfortunately in my experience (of course it could be me) it rarely manifests this way, there's always something that seems to hold the share price back. You convince yourself that it's undervalued and want to buy more before the market discovers this crazy undervaluation...so you buy more and the cycle repeats, they do a placing...to prove up more resource...rinse and repeat again. Maybe XTR will be different, I hope so, but after my initial optimism (2 years or so ago), I fear I may have fallen for the same honey trap again.
