Puzzler2,

If you look at the original and then the Chinese copy back to English posted here you'll see why Singapore listing is mentioned.

Pensioner2- have a listen. AS specifically mentions some new discoveries eg Xcite Energy and the Bentley Field, and Hurricane Energy
I found it very odd that Salmond didn't bring them up in the debates. I listened out for that.

If he'd been doing his job properly he would have brought these matters out in the referendum debate. It's no good crying foul after the event.

Of course he can. But it's a political point about the field and progress made so far.

You all seem shocked when things we know suddenly appear elsewhere?

Why is that?

32m 40 s in to the link I posted

Price of crude driven by temp oversupply.
Bounce back expected next year
Norway oil fund has grown by 165m $ a day.....cf Scotland (meaning pity Scotland didn't have an oil fund on earlier North Sea discovery)
Will he work to ensure that Scotland work with the UK Govt etc
AS mentions :
New Discovery- Xcite Bentley Field
Hurricane Energy
Clair Ridge
He makes a sour comment of the fact that they have only been mentioned AFTER the Referendum!

Mike - presume that you're referring to the fact that we're not (yet!) listed in Singapore, despite the translation referring to that - interesting!

Presumably the Scottish Assembly has the equivalent of Parliamentary Privilege? If so, AS can say what he likes and not much anyone can do about it.

Yes but there's a difference between talking about a field and shareholders. It's a mixed message and Hyvast knows that.

AS shouldn't be discussing Bentley at all pre-FDP submission.

Reminds me of Mosman.

Hyvast,

great to hear they are talking about it in Scottish parliament. Do you have an article link or is it too soon?

I've had a look but can't find anything yet.

Excite and Bentley Field was came up in FMQ today in the Scottish Parliament and was cited BY the FM as being a prime example of the way forward for future North Sea development together with its planned long term production
