Separately, China’s Sinopec acquired a 49 per cent stake in Talisman Energy’s UK operations. . The next line might read- And Xcite energy for $3.0bn in 2015. | mikepage19

02/11/2014 19:50 | The Statoil/Shell collaboration agreement in full swing- The business units containing the semi submersibles (Offshore Rig Services AS) was registered in May 2005. The vision was to build and operate fit for purpose semi submersible drilling units for drilling in mid water down to 750 meter. In April 2007 Awilco Offshore Semi AS was awarded two long term drilling contracts for two semi submersible drilling units by Norsk Hydro Produksjon AS on behalf of the license partners of the Troll Production License for 8 years each plus 8 x 1 year options. In July 2008 China Oilfield Services Limited offered to purchase all shares in Awilco Offshore ASA. The purchase was effective from close of trading on Oslo Stock Exchange on 15 October 2008 and then Awilco Offshore ASA was de-listed from the Oslo Stock Exchange. The COSLPioneer, commenced drilling operations for Statoil in August 2011. The COSLInnovator and COSLPromoter commenced drilling and completions operations on the Troll field for Statoil in January 2013 and April 2013. In December 2011 COSL signed the construction contract with CIMC Raffles Offshore to construct our semi-submersible drilling unit no. 4, named COSLProspector. Delivery of this unit from the yard will be in Q4 2014. This yard is the same that has constructed drilling unit no. 1-3.All drilling units have proven high performance delivery and proven that the rig design is highly efficient. | mikepage19
02/11/2014 19:46 | One to keep an eye on- Also my reasons why- Cnooc already has oil and gas assets in north and south America, Africa and Australia. It bought Nexen for $15.1 billion in 2013 in China’s biggest overseas acquisition, expanding into the U.K. North Sea. Nexen exited Norway before it was acquired. | mikepage19

01/11/2014 16:25 | mikepage19 1 Nov'14 - 16:03 - 48700 of 48701 0 0 I wonder if the rig news was a deliberate leak by the company; very clever. ----- If you are gong to wonder, about anything, try Bressey. It's is on hold. I would like to say, people are gob smacked, at how little time it has taken STL, to get in line, with Shell. Let's face it, the service companies were out of order, completely. It had to be done. | irnbru2 |
