04/11/2014 21:05 | Halliburton Co. (HAL) Chief Executive Officer Dave Lesar is joining the chorus of oil executives who say they aren’t worried about falling oil prices, and expect them to climb next year. “Despite what people are thinking, demand is creeping up, albeit at a lower rate than it has been,” he said. The downward pressure on prices is mostly due to an oversupply, and Lesar said that will quickly prove self-correcting, especially when it comes to U.S. shale production. Unlike with conventional oil, shale wells peter out quickly and companies depend on constant new drilling to maintain production levels. This also makes shale more responsive to price movements. Lower prices will discourage new drilling, quickly removing the glut in crude supplies, Lesar s | mikepage19

04/11/2014 16:20 | Mac, your roll is not to promote this at all costs, it is to manage the thread. You cannot allow your pals to run riot whilst panning perfectly good critique. You have brought on your own demise because of greed & pals. A totally useless way of operating. Your last fightback? Attacking pals? Can you go on? | arlington chetwynd talbot
04/11/2014 15:57 | I knew this would happen mac, they turn on you. | arlington chetwynd talbot

04/11/2014 15:37 | They have plenty of experts on hand, in the various MOUs, to bring Bentley to fruition. I doubt they need the help of the wee nasty hedgemen. | mclellan
04/11/2014 15:25 | Got any grapes, mc? | fruitfly2
04/11/2014 15:16 | They're ganging up on you mac. You cannot be indecisive at this point. You must ban them both. | arlington chetwynd talbot
04/11/2014 15:11 | bleepy - Know any good knots? | fruitfly2
04/11/2014 15:09 | Mc thanks for pointing that out. Cheers mikepage, please continue with your valuable contributions as they educate those of us who are not "oilies". The over supply causing the oil price drop I'm sure will be eased out as those who cannot sustain operations at these levels are forced to close down. Many other factors come into the equation but it will still be painfull for some. Tiresome as the wait is and enforced at times the bod must be trusted to do their job. All seems to be unfolding nicely. Mike,I agree,Bentley is a monster and will take some handling to bring to fruition. | bleepy
04/11/2014 15:05 | Mclellan - This thread needs something different. I'll have a go. | fruitfly2
