If you hold until the 29th & you are brave, you could potentially double your money.

Indeed - but from what I can see the appears unavailable to buy on HL as well - have you tried a dummy purchase with LOIL this afternoon?

If you buy, do a limit order & it'll get filled eventually, don't buy straight up.

It's explained on the WisdomTree website & in below comments.
I created a thread for brent here if anyone is interested...

Well the message I get at moment when trying to purchase is ' WisdomTree have temporarily suspended purchases of this investment until further notice' :-(

If you are good with TA, watch those MAs, breakout expected soon on Brent(LON:LBRT) & that'll push up WTI later on.

And yet, laptop, it continues to fall. Cushing being full could be a big catalyst down imho. Just seems way easier for the price to fall than rise right now, from what I can see.

Loil tracks futures two months ahead not current futurists price. From 5th to 10th of month it rolls to future ahead. Currently tracking July. There is a good spread sheet on the Bloomberg subindex explaining it's all.

Very good advice Marceau.

Those looking at this should read your comments from earlier .

Laptop, np, but please see my earlier summary of the situation on this thread. This provider already shuttered one of its ETCs last night (and that was on the short side!), and risk is sky high. This is one of those times where every man and his dog has heard about lifetime lows in oil and everyone has thought 'how do I buy this?'. Retail pile-ins rarely end well and the last 48 hours has seen some epic torching of uninformed, unwary longs. Be careful and above all understand that vehicles like LOIL can nuke you in a matter of hours if you get your timing wrong. All the best.

Ok thanks Marcus might look to buy in the morning if I get the right price. Last time I bought and held and it went up the next day but as u say it could easily drop overnight at the moment

Laptop, yes, if the index rises above its closing level it will rise. Timing is everything here. You are not meant to hold this overnight though, what if the front month falls 50% overnight? You can't sell until the open and you'll be wiped out.

No, I was in a few weeks back when it rose. But thinking of buying back

Investment Objective WisdomTree WTI Crude Oil 2x Daily Leveraged is designed to enable investors to gain a 'leveraged' exposure to a total return investment in WTI crude oil futures contracts by tracking the Bloomberg WTI Crude Oil Subindex (the "Index") and providing a collateral yield. A daily leveraged exposure means that the product is designed to reflect 200% of the daily percentage change in the Index level. For example, if the Index was to decrease in value by 5% on a particular day, the product is designed to decrease in value by 10% on that day (minus fees and expenses). WisdomTree WTI Crude Oil 2x Daily Leveraged is an exchange traded commodity ("ETC"). It is not a UCITS product. Securities in this ETC are structured as debt securities and not as shares (equity) and can be created and redeemed on demand by authorised participants and traded on exchange just like shares in a company. The ETC is backed by swaps. The payment obligations of the swap counterparties to the Issuer are protected by collateral held which is marked to market daily. The collateral is held in segregated accounts at The Bank of New York Mellon. Details of the collateral held can be found in the Collateral section of the WisdomTree website (www.wisdomtree.com). Index Description The Index is designed to reflect the movement in the price of the WTI crude oil futures contracts used in the Bloomberg Commodity IndexSM that are continuously rolled on a pre-determined rolling schedule. Each trading day the ETC will reflect 2 times the movement of the Index relative to the previous day's close (excluding fees and expenses). Therefore any losses will be magnified in comparison to a decrease in the value of the Index. Leveraged ETCs are only intended for investors who understand the risks involved in investing in an ETC with leveraged exposure and who intend to invest on a short-term basis. Any investment in a leveraged ETC should be monitored on a daily basis to ensure consistency with your investment strategy. Please refer to the section entitled "Risk Factors" in the relevant prospectus for further details of these and other risks associated with an investment in leveraged ETCs. You should consult an independent investment adviser prior to making an investment in a leveraged ETC in order to determine its suitability to your circumstances

Laptop, it has followed the index at exactly 2x. It is down 22% from yesterday's close and it is up 20% from today's open. There is no continuation in price from yesterday other than the close, value here is RELATIVE.

Its ment to track Bloomberg which days up 10% so in theory it should be up 20%??Does that not sound right

You are not meant to hold this overnight, it says this explicitly in the factsheet. This is a terrible vehicle for buy and hold, time can destory value relentlessly if the swings don't work out in your favour.

The front contract on oil can stay at $15 for the next week, only deviating by $1 up or down and LOIL could end up down by 15%. It doesn't track price, it tracks change in price.
