Yes if pmi drops significantly then the fed sees that as one of its indicators of a weakening economy and its achieving its goals

The VIX (VX) is consolidating after bouncing strongly yesterday off a much higher low versus the 2023 low (from 2 weekly candles ago). Any weekly close above the psychologically key 25 whole figure level would dramatically increase odds of a test of this week's high next week. Watch for volatility today 945am EST with the US Flash Manufacturing PMI and Services PMI.

I really wouldn't be surprised if S&P ended lower today. It's just not sustainable. I bought some this afternoon. Moves up by close to 2% and back down again easily justify a vix into the 30's, not at 20

Relying on the banks with stricter credit rules to down inflation (reducing hikes)... says it all... Reality: recession, struggling banks requiring support and more hurdles, longer heavier inflation. Knock on effects to anyone relying the banks, especially listed tech firms. They want us back to 2%, but how long do they realistically expect that to take with this model...

Better known as "the Vix," or Wall Street's "fear gauge," the Vix VIX attempts to reflect how volatile option traders expect the S&P 500 index to be over the coming month. On the 4hr chart the vix looks a buy Fed rates tomorrow i think what ever the outcome a 0.25bps increase or pause there will be a bull trap then further downside in s and p 500
