LOL at garykc!

No garykc, i think you can safely say you've lost your money. Shareholders wont see a penny.

You will have to wait a while before official conformation so you could use your loss against any capital gains taxes.

However, despite your outright loss, you will be pleased to know that as a Public limited company, and you a shareholder. That you wont be asked to pay towards any further losses that connected parties may well end up having.

(a law which i personaly think quite often unfair and should be ammended imo)

....................So if we can get back to last nights RNS. Is there still hope from it with this statement........"Neither WDL nor WDTL are
members of the Wren group of companies but development profit share agreements
are in place between Wren and each of WDL and WDTL."

Gettrichslowley,

Fact was RNS told shareholders they had cash to drawdown.

Fact was the shares were 99% off their high.

Fact is it is part of the life some of these tiny Aim stocks will go down on you, As i have done done 4p to £9.50p and 2p to £1.40p plus loads of 10 baggers, this loss is not a worry at all.[nor should it be, 28% comes back via tax in any event]

I would need 300 firms like this to go down , only then would i show a loss.

In this case you were right, but is many others you will be wrong.

You live in fear , i do not, and thats the mind set that makes me huge profits.

Good luck.

Tara, why cant you just accept that you got it totally wrong on this one. All you have done is state the bleeding obvious - not a single piece of research. Your "investment" decision, based on your earlier posting, appears to have been based on nothing more than your assessment that "it was a good each way bet". In fact, with some research, the odds were clearly far worse than that. You also stressed that it was cheap, but was it value? No. You deserve your loss and no doubt you will live with it and write it off, hopefully against other gains. Those that followed you will hopefully have learned from your folly. Henceforth, you should carry a wealth warning. Please do not regard this as a blame game. Those who fail to learn from past mistakes are merely destined to repeat them in the future.

As I said, looked like a clasic pump and dump. Who can say what the link was with RHPS, shammytime, pre, moneymonster, but clearly a few shares were sold whilst a a few were being bought.

Theres really is no limit to the stupidity of the stupid as they say.

I doubt you will ever see shammytime again though. imo.

Exactamundo philjeans. Posters would do well to review Taras postings on wren to see that none of them contained a single piece of information based on research, it was all just lazy, uninformed comment. I particularly liked the reliance on Hedgehunter to go through the books, this after Tara having purported to have invested. My earlier exchange of postings with Tara were an attempt to elicit some level of knowledge but none was forthcoming. As I said in one of my earlier posts, I was just trying to "keep it real" in order to provide a counterpoint to the blatant ramping. There was no need for your apology Envirovision, for suggesting that Tara only tips. You were bang on the button. For those who invested in the last month and lost money, you got exactly what you deserved. I think there will be many more wrens on aim over the coming months as the banks get tough. As I posted earlier, we are on the verge of a Darwinian shake out. Following Tara may have done you ok in the past but I think it would be folly over the next couple of years. As previously posted, in depth research has never been more important.

Low an behold CE now looking at picking assets off from GVA on the cheap! how come he resigned to the board 11th September, and annoucement only made today! Accountants, valued goodwill far higher than should of been, should kickmyself on thinking a company that pays Director £200K PA with negative TO would survive. Dead and gone onto next.

Shammy,

what happened here then?

the extract below which you have copied & pasted, can you state what the source is, as given todays news it borders on being libelous?

shammytime - 24 Sep'10 - 11:41 - 216 of 261

"It has secured the funding with the help of American firm Southbridge, the same company that advised Wren during last year's £7 million Bahamian funding. The funding is expected to be more than last year's amount, however is great business for Wren as it requires no dilution. Strong buy with 7p target"

administration? People who are listening to this guy and selling really do deserve to lose...

I'm happy sitting here waiting for Wednesday. Didn't think I'd get another opportunity at these levels to top up. This will pop in less than 2 days."

Wren Extra Care Group plc (AIM: WREN)

("Wren" or the "Company")

Suspension announcement and directorate change

On 15 September 2010, Wren announced that it remained in discussions with its main lender in order to extend the Company's working capital and other loan facilities (together, the "Loan Agreements") which have been extended on a regular basis since 1 May 2010. A subsidiary of the Company received notice earlier today demanding the immediate repayment of all sums due to its main lender. As a result, the subsidiary is in default under the Loan Agreements and the Company has requested the suspension of its ordinary shares to trading on AIM pending clarification of its financial position.

The Board continues to take identify cost savings to reduce the Company's overhead in order to conserve cash. The Board met yesterday and it was decided to terminate the service agreement and directorship of Paul Treadaway (formerly Chief Executive of Wren).

Seems amazing people can FXX up so badly, when land in Surrey is a valuable asset, and with a consent can be normally traded at a profit, bank interest rates at historic lows, Luke Johnson as a shareholder, and Wainsford seems odd, to build up huge debt, and hold Land not being developed rather than make a profit on selling assets, keep shareholder shappy and prove you good at what you do. Seems this PLc has not had a prudent business plan, shame as thought it may have legs, but given the shareholder value that has been desimated, the only option is sell to AN other competitor or liquidate all assets prudently open book and return money to shareholders. Alas, I wait to hear Tara version of events on how this will be a ten bagger in next three years, if not bust in next six months.

Back on terra firma and have missed you all these past couple of weeks. Surprised to see this one still breathing. Hedgehunter, See my previous post re non core assets posted a couple of weeks ago. Their statements about only buying land on option is not wholly true, they do seem to have completed on some land purchases. Your suspicion that the CE is squirrelling the assets may well have some truth as they seem to date to have held sites in spvs and from the development of the first site at Warlingham, Wren only drew a profit per unit - hence the low turnover figures. In fact, this aspect has been clearly stated in their documentation as one of the big risk factors to Wren, as they have been mainly dependent on revenue from a single counterparty. It all makes for fairly depressing reading. But hell, if people are prepared to lend them the money and they can get away with it, who can blame them. Beats working for a living. I think Wainfords money must have gone on debts built up prior to his input, the purchase and holding costs of a couple of the sites, planning fees and the CEOs excessive reward package and other staff/office overheads. Was not the Bahamian funding for a £3M drawdown facility and not the £7M figure that seems to have found its way into circulation whilst I have been away. Oh those rampers! I think you have made the right call philjeans.
Where has Tara gone? Maybe done a runner with the CE.
