07/5/2010 12:30 | 07/05 13:23 - UK Prompt Natural Gas Prices Up; Linepack Around 13 MCM Short LONDON (Dow Jones)--Prompt U.K. natural gas prices soared Friday, lifted by persistent strong demand in the U.K system on an outlook for prolonged cold weather and continued volatile pipeline supplies from Norway. Traders pegged values for prompt U.K. natural gas within-day at 43 pence a therm at 1215 GMT, from closer to 35p/therm at the start of the week. Within-day contracts are trading at 42.70p/therm. Linepack, or volume of gas in the system, is predicted to close at 318.9 million cubic meters after opening at 333.2 mcm, according to National Grid data. Flows through the Langeled pipeline from Norwegian North Sea fields to the U.K. have been extremely volatile this week. Flows are currently running at just over 38 mcm, down from around 60 mcm earlier in the day. Also adding pressure to the system is strong demand from the continent, in particular from Germany, which is lending support to U.K prices. -By Angela Henshall, Dow Jones Newswires; +44 (0)20 7842 9285; angela.henshall@dowj Click here to go to Dow Jones NewsPlus, a web front page of today's most important business and market news, analysis and commentary: You can use this link on the day this article is published and the following day. 05/5/2010 12:51 | I only invest in stocks that give me stress lol! knew I was going wrong somewhere ;-), in fact I look on lnga as a gamble and if I get that out of my system here, I have clearer vision and focus elswhere. ! I have 6 reds and one blue, the only blue being lnga today ;-) at the moment anyway! | wig123
05/5/2010 12:47 | wig123, You should never invest in anything that causes you such stress. Have a think about it. NGAS is the most volatile commodity I have ever traded. c2i | contrarian2investor

With the co.selling down all their stock it had to give sooner or later. as for here we held up well, roll on tommorrow ;-) | wig123

04/5/2010 15:13 | wig123, I opened my June long position with a view to rolling it over to September. So I am prepared for a rough ride until reality sinks in. Hopefully by then we will have $4 as support rather than resistance. O/T Nice to see CCL falling, I joined you this morning with a short when share price hit £28.50p c2i | contrarian2investor

04/5/2010 13:17 | wig123 et al, Here is another article for the Gas bulls. Huge Bets Against Natural Gas... Me? I'm Buying! Commodities / Natural Gas Apr 29, 2010 - 03:16 PM c2i | contrarian2investor
04/5/2010 06:52 | Come on Baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cheers for link C2 very interesting ;-) | wig123
03/5/2010 21:16 | wig123, Natural Gas is currently the most volatile of all the commodities that I am trading. The Yanks just appear to have no long-term view on the price. Yet mega-cap gas companies are investing across the globe on the future upward price of the commodity. It's a pity I can't buy 2020 Call options on Natural Gas otherwise I would be "all-in". c2i EDIT: Here is another good source of news on Natural gas etc. | contrarian2investor
03/5/2010 21:00 | hi C2, i did see your post, the Natural Gas price is up today to $4??? or so my bloomberg on iphone says! now at 4.01 + 2.19%, please dont tell me I have been watching the wrong flippin prices lol! Shame I am away from the screen most of tommorrow, so just hoping the order gets filled. Bloody gambling, I should know better by now ;-) | wig123
03/5/2010 20:02 | Hi wig123, I am also hoping that we see a retracement in Natural Gas from $3.80 and back above $4.00. Which would mean that your LNGA target would be much nearer. I posted this earlier on the GAS thread. All the best with your positions. --------- contrarian2investor - 3 May'10 - 14:44 - 808 of 808 edit Hi all, Given the fact I can not trade my NGAS etf today. I chose to open a long JUNE spreadbet on Natural Gas @3.911. dyor c2i | contrarian2investor
