Ken, what's the fastest you've ever been in a car?

Just roughly Ken, you don't have to be exact.

Ken, do you like to slip that window down regardless of your speed, and feel that wind in your hair?
I do Ken, I most certainly do.

Morning Ken.

Ken, my old friend, you're nearly three years older now than when you first started this thread.

Do you still think you're up to driving Ken?

It was interesting to see how manufacturers compare on reliability for 2005.

Bottom are " Land Rover " for the second year running, followed closely by " Saab " who were third bottom in 2004.
Audi are 28 out of 30 and Rover 27.

Top are Honda rising three places from 2004, Masda decline one place to second and toyota finish third, one place above Nissan.

So Jeff.

" intense, don't suffer fools.....a man of purpose."

That is Jeff's concise pen-portrait of himself, he told the truth there and now we know him.

I would say that the Jeff I've seen up to now fits that description.

...so the question remains. What floor type does he have in his kitchen? Is it tiled, slated, floor boards or other?

Kind Regards.

LOL. lounge lizard, well thats a first for me,well to my face it is anyhow.
one is never aware of how others see us,would we like ourselfs if we knew.
i certainly would be mortified to find people said that geoff is a a lounge lizard, thats for sure.
intense and not one to suffer fools.that i can live with.fact is thats exactly the image of myself i do live with.and i'm confortuble with that.
your thought for today is...'the purpose of life is a life of purpose'

Jeff.

You've gone all lounge lizard on me. I had you there in your shirt and tie (even though it's Sunday), pointing out your words on your keyboard with pursed lips, feeling a bit put out and reaching for a response. What I find is you in your cravat and smoking jacket enjoying your day and preparing food for later, almost waxing lyrical when all we've had is one liners up to now.

What's happening to you Jeff? Did you open that Sunday bottle of wine?

Kind Regards.

the calm of your reply heartens me.was it rash to think of leaving so soon, what would nils and frazier have done? i can only speculate.
i like the way you bring dust into the equasion asdds a certain something.
on a cold dull day in england the time can pass slower than one would want, but conversing with others can relive stress and boredom all at the sametime.
have to go and marinade the meat now,so adure.

Jeff.

Thanks for your concern. I didn't realise that you were here to help me with a condition that I was (up to now) unaware that I had.

Not only do you diagnose me but you then proceed to treat me under the guise of antique carpets. Were you leading me jeff?, are you some sort of subtle Zen-like master who was trying to slow me down, to calm my ego and to allow me to take time with everything I do in order that I inject quality into my life?

..or Jeff, and this is only a guess. Does the real essence of your last post show that you are stuck for an acceptable reply, you focus your frustrations onto their cause and you imply mental illness to re-assure yourself that you are in fact superior and that you're dealing with an unfortunate? Is your need to imply that someone is mentally ill a reflection of your own inadequacies Jeff?

Whatever it is we really are getting somewhere. I never realised that you were such a sunny character jeff, I read a post from you and it's as if the sunshine is filtering through my curtains, teaching the dust to dance, a white shard from the heavens warming my face, forcing me to smile from the pleasure of its gentle heat.

I hope this helps.

Kind Regards.

Jeff.

If you think that you're going to get one over on me by using that 'antique' bunk then you can think again.

This thread clearly states NEW, it makes no mention of old, second-hand, pikey, antique or otherwise. We're here for NEW carpets Jeff, you can take the rest of it and jump in the lake with it for all I care.

I'm doing my best with you Jeff but you're not helping yourself here. Jeff, jeff, jeff. What are we going to do with you?

Jeff.

I was going to get annoyed and tell you that we don't do second hand goods here, I decided to moderate my response because you weren't to know, I think you're relatively new to these consumer interest threads so I gave you the benefit of the doubt. If you're looking for cheap and nasty then try the maestro group of threads, he'll have something for you I'm sure.

The title of this thread features the word 'new' carpet; it didn't mention pikey cheap stuff from Oxfam. I think Rabbit had in mind a ribbed axminster with a floral backdrop when he started this thread, I just hope that your insinuation that he can't afford a new carpet doesn't upset him. He's nice as you like until you upset him.

Fingers crossed eh Jeff.
