Thanks Brut for your posts on this thread earlier in the year - the first in 7 years. I bought some LCFE on the back of them and am now up 100%. The poor weather forecast in Brazil looks to be supportive of a further rise.

McBeanburger: Just checked and the KC1 contract is what i spotted on tradingview and the only way i could get exposure was by the a Wisdom tree ETF, they do three, 1x COFF, 2x LCFE and 3x 3CFL, i took the 3CFL at a 3x leverage, i don't usually use leverage, but they look like a safe bet and if it pays off and does what it has the last four decades it could be a 30x gain for anyone brave enough to ride it out.

McBeanburger : looks to me like coffee trends over an 8 to 11 year cycle and it looks to be doing the classic reversal pattern, i will just hold and accumulate and wait for the 5x spike just like it has done for the last forty years and it's 10 years in now, so hopefully history will repeat itself.

Given the name you must be veggie or vegan, I've been been vegan five years after being veggie for 2, i have never looked back. ATB

i'm looking at ice kc contract, don't know the difference from 3cfl though.

loads of accumulation on the k21 contract on this dip in the last week or so. will keep an eye on it.

what the driver?

Nobody drinks coffee anymore, you would think so by the interest in the futures market, that looks about to change just bought my first tranche of 3CFL, big gains to come.

I sold last month. The price is above the trend channel and unlikely to go higher before dropping lower, plus crops this year and next are forecast to be better. So, I'll wait, watch and see before taking any new position.

Are there any free coffee charts on ADVFN or elsewhere?

Is the story of a squeeze on hedge funds who were short coffee and were/are required to deliver actual beans true?
